it doesnt matter when it comes to seeding but its more confirmation that this is not a champion caliber team.

Is that right?

Wouldn’t that give them more conference losses (if we won out)?
Yep, you are correct. Currently both teams are 7-3 in Conference if Cowboys win out they're 9-3 and Eagles would be 9-4. Head to head would be 1-1, division record would be tied and common games would be tied so it would come down to Conference.

This is just not the 90's Cowboys though (obviously) hoping to back into a division title by having your opponent lose. They took care of business.

Standings wise you are correct, this game is not important to the Cowboys. However, this 2-game stretch away from home against quality opponents is an important barometer for the team and they largely failed. They were gutted by the Bills and deservedly lost to the Dolphins. To me, this shows the team is not a serious team in the playoffs unless something dramatically changes in a very short period of time. I think that is not likely to happen and that is disappointing.

If Giants win tomorrow this game won't mean a thing. But still the writing is on the wall this team has a problem playing on the road and a lot of that is at the QB position.

True, but the time to bemoan that was when we lost at Philly.

We haven’t controlled our destiny since, if you wanna look at it that way

Dallas hasn’t lost at home in nearly two full years
Sadly it's more likely that Detroit is our last home game regular season or playoffs.

The ironic thing about sucking on the road is that you're forced to win on the road in the playoffs, even if you go undefeated at home.

I agree, it doesn't matter, we still know that this team can't beat good teams, especially on the road

You guys don't get it's not only about winning the division. It's about playing good football going into the playoffs.
I get all that but I think this team is just awesome at home and sucks on the road. So it's showing everyone exactly who they are when they have to go on a road so their reward is going on the road the entire playoffs, good luck with that.

I’m actually encouraged. We went toe to toe with a top 2 team in the AFC on the road. Still the 2nd best team in the NFC.

If Philly wins out, it doesn’t matter if Dallas wins or loses this game, Dallas is the 5 seed.

If Dallas wins their Last Two Games (Detroit in Dallas is a huge boon), and Philly loses any remaining game, Dallas wins the division.

Winning or Losing to Miami has no impact on either scenario. MAYBE if you won, Strength of Victory Miraculously moves in your favor, but that was always unlikely.
Thank you AL, an Eagles fan, for being one of the only guys to post something positive. Go ahead and roast me for saying so but thank you AL for stating the obvious. We get Tyron and Hankins back and who knows … I’m not throwing in the towel.
