Lots of talk about The Rat playing the Cowboys but Marinelli gets to face the team that fired his boss and he took it so personal he quit. If it weren't for the Jerry and the Rat thing this would probably get more attention but I'm already lookin forward to seeing what kind of game Marinelli can get out of his rushmen. I'll take him over the fraud that became rat any day.

Ratliff was far from being someone the players admired by the time he departed from Dallas. In fact, they resented the fact that he abandoned them over a personal vendetta he had against Jerry. The rest of the team stayed the course despite the problems that they all shared with losing and whatever else might have bothered them personally. The players will very likely do everything in their power to 'return the favor' that Ratliff left them with. I hope the Rat gets everything he deserves. Even if they don't have it in for him, he isn't anything special any more . . . he had proven that over the last several years with us. He's more than likely not the main problem we'll face when we line up against the Bears Monday night. Ratliff's a selfish turd who's washed up, regardless.

Don't forget skip peete is their running backs coach and decamillis is their st coach. Decamillis wanted out since wade left and they wouldn't let him go. I used to read how he should be the head coach by a lot of the people that post here....umm no.

Landon Cohen is their also.

Just like the raiders there are a lot of familiar faces on the bears. I am sure Bennett will say something dumb before the game or his dumb family will on twitter.

Anybody notice how much special teams have improved since DeCamillis left?

What was Ratliff's issue with Jerry anyway?
Jerry walked into the locker room and told Ratliff the team needed him out on the field. Ratliff thought those comments implied that Ratliff wasn't doing everything he could to play. In other words, he was dogging it. And Ratliff, being the unstable personality that he is, had to be pulled away from Jerry.

That was the end. Ratliff was determined not to play for the Cowboys while still collecting checks from Jerry, who just finished paying him a monsterous signing bonus. Finally they had to get rid of him. Jerry wants his money back and will probably go through the courts to get it..

One thing is for sure. If Ratliff was stil a Cowboy, he would not be playing Monday night.

Axe to grind stuff is overrated.

This isn't the off-season or even week 3 or some such.
At this point in the season all that matters are wins.

The Giants were all riled up and playing like it was their Super Bowl and we just focused on the game and won.
This is an area where Jason Garrett helps us.
We need to stay on an even keel and just go win games.

Not really. Over the years the Cowboys have got the best from their opposition because of the past success of the team. In order to play at your best in the NFL you have to have some motivation. Without it, you don't give your best.

On the flip side of that the emotional crap is a short-term fix.
You need to simply execute and win.
There are only so many games per year a team will get up for.
And for every up there is the inevitable down.
If you are relying on that it is like the Giants, fool's gold.

Dallas built up all that hatred and personal vendetta stuff under Landry who was always as cool as a cucumber.

Jimmy Johnson used it to his advantage but he was also a guy who scheduled losses for the team and constantly managed the psychological state of the team.

The Bears are hardly worth investing major emotion into. We just need to win and then be ready for a quick bounce back to play again.

Execution not emotion will determine who wins. Again, see New York.

Every team that plays us gets up for the game. All of them. It's been this way for years. Good execution wins games, but there's no doubt that emotion plays a large role as well.

Jerry waited too long to blow him out.
Should have been the day he confronted Jerry. Like Jerry or not he's the boss and employee should never get away with what Rat did. I think Jerry would have had a better chase of getting his money back had he cut Rat that day.

Jerry has a saying. "Never let your money get mad."
That's a very good saying and way to think about things.

I think he has a better chance of recouping money this way.
Insubordination is a fairly soft claim.
Medical interference(i.e. doctor's disagreeing) with you signing and playing elsewhere so quickly after a release is a much stronger case.

Jerry, personally, doesn't need the money but anything he can get returned to the cap would be huge.

End of the day best revenge is to just go win. Ratliff ruined any change he ever had of entering any Ring of Honor here and now we just prevent him getting any playoff checks.
