i'll preface my post by saying i'm a Bronco fan (you wouldn't know from my screen name...:p: )...i'm a respectful fan, so don't expect trolling from me...i can give you more insight on the Broncos as you can probably give me more insight on what Dallas has to offer)...

If you watched us play, i think you'd be a little more concerned than you sound...i understand that from where you're standing it appears we got a lucky play to beat Cincy and then beat two lousy teams in Cleveland and Oakland...and to a degree thats all true...

but keep in mind these things...

**Denver beat Oakland and Cleveland each by 3 touchdowns...bad teams struggle to beat other bad teams...good teams STOMP bad teams...keep that in mind...

**Denver beat a good Cincinnati team...a fluke play won it for us, but we led that game for 59 minutes...the defense held a powerful offense to 7 points...

**Denver's Defense even for playing some subpar teams, is putting up eye-popping defensive numbers thus far...the lowest pts allowed in the 1st 3 games in NFL history...#1 in total D...tops in sacks...amongst the league leaders in INTs...rushing yds allowed, passing yds allowed, etc...

**Denver's offense is ranked #9 in the NFL and #4 rushing offense...

**Consider Denver's talent...Denver has arguably the best o-line in football, i'm not sure if you knew that or not...Denver doesn't allow anyone to get sacks...Brandon Marshall, Eddie Royal, Jabar Gaffney, & Brandon Stokley comprise one of the best WR cores in the NFL to go along with Moreno and Buckhalter running the ball...lot's of talent...

**Elvis Dumervil, Champ Bailey, Brian Dawkins, DJ williams, and a stout D-line on Defense...

**Kyle Orton is 26-12 as a starter...he hasn't thrown an INT and has a 92 passer rating...in Chicago he had no offensive talent, now he does...

Denver isn't 3-0 by accident...i think it will be hard for you all to win in Denver...

What about Dallas do I need to know about?...

Any update on the extent of Felix Jones' injury?
11:14
David Moore: Not yet. He's scheduled for an MRI this morning. Jones told Tashard Choice and others he could have gone back into the game last night, but the Cowboys took a more cautious stance.

Thats good.

I could've sworn he was in on the Wildcat after he supposedly got hurt too.

He was Choice faked the end around to Felix and took it up the middle for 10 yards.

And on top of that you'll have a packed Denver stadium full of guys like this guy believing they can beat the boys.

Mile High is like a College atmosphere and the altitude makes it tough too.

Denver has a lot of advantages going into this game. Dallas better be ready.

Has Felix played 16 games? Has Felix rushed for a 1,000 yards?

Compare total yards so far in their careers then tell me who is more valuable to their team.

Until Felix proves it over time, he's over hyped.

How can you say he's overhyped? When he is on the field he has been the most explosive player on it by far. He nearly breaks a long and/or TD run almost every carry to reception. It isnt like he did it one game and then has been hurt the rest of the time.

Over hyped meaning, folks want to make him a top 5 back in league and put him in Canton.

He played 6 games last year and got hurt. He's played 3 games this year and is hurt. He looked hurt the first two games. All I'm saying is, so far you can't rely on him to be a productive player on a consistent basis. He hasn't shown it and I think the coaches know that.

I don't see him being a 20 carry guy. He wasn't in college and he hasn't shown it in the NFL yet.

I'm not a huge Chris Johnson fan, but so far, you have to give the edge to Johnson. He's a threat to take it to the house every play and he hasn't missed anytime.

If I had to start a team and could only have 1 RB and not do a RB by committee, I would take Johnson.

The injury bug is annoying but he's never been less than impressive when the ball is in his hands, had he been healthy he would've gone all the way on that last run last night.

Is this the "Jones" curse. Julius showed flashes and then had injury problems. Hopefully Felix doesn't turn out like Julius.

I won't dispute last season. It was unfortunate that he got hurt, and our team clearly suffered with his injury, Barber's injury, and Romo's injury.

If he has been hurt the first 2 games, and played like this in the 3rd, then he's earned my respect.

His injury yesterday was the result of him being tackled awkwardly. If you watch closely, you watch opposing players holding onto him for dear life and bringing him down any way they can. That will result in injury.

He came back in for 2 more snaps after the injury. I don't think it is that bad of an injury.

CJ vs. Felix
DOB 9.23.85 vs. 5.08.87
Yards Rushing 1,579 vs. 478
YPC 5.2 vs. 9.4
TD's 11 vs. 4
Yards Receiving 366 vs. 30
YPC 6.8 vs. 10.0
TD's 2 vs. 0

Per Attempt - Felix is amazing.

But I think some folks want more touches than what Felix has shown himself capable of providing thus far.

I think its also fair to consider how Felix' "per attempt" numbers might come down if his touches did come up.

Its not blasphemous or stupid to prefer Johnson at this point.

I don't think some people realize how difficult it is to average 9.37 yards per carry (Felix's career average), even over a small sample size (he has 51 career carries).

In NFL history, a running back has averaged at least 9.3 yards per carry for a GAME with at least 20 carries only 25 times. Only four times has a back done it with at least 25 carries.

Felix's career YPC is more than 3 yards better than any other running back who has had at least 30 carries in his career. And it's more than 2 yards better than what any other running back has averaged in his first two seasons (minimum of 30 carries). Will his average go down? Almost certainly. Then again, after he averaged 8.9 yards per carry last season, who would have thought it would go UP so far this season? He has a higher YPC than any other running back who has carried the ball more than once this season.

And finally, since the start of 2008, Felix leads the league in games with at least three carries and a YPC of at least 6.8. He has six of them despite missing 10 games last season. Heck, he's carried the ball in only eight games total, and he's had a ridiculous YPC in almost all of them.

Yes you did beat those teams by 3 touchdowns. You were giftwrapped a few of those by the mistakes of very bad quarterback play in Russell and Quinn and fumbles by McFadden. More than likely you won't have those gifts come Sunday. You are going to have to drive the length of the field with Orton as your QB. I'll definitely take my chances with that. Face it you have the epitome of a game manager as your quarterback.

Calling Cincinnati a powerful offense is a bit much.

Denver is 3-0 by accident. The accident happened on a tipped pass.

You are really hyping your squad which is fine but at this point you have overachieved.

if you want to believe that, knock yourself out...

if you want to believe that oakland, cincy and cleveland gift wrapped everything and Denver did nothing, be my guest...

denver is #9 in offense because of long sustained drives...i think you're going to be in for quite the surprise come Sunday, if you really believe that...

i don't want to hijack this thread so i won't post about it anymore...but when a Denver thread is started, i'll post more...

No doubt Chris Johnson is a very good back Tenn has a guy who is a playmaker but the same token Felix Jones is an outstanding back and the Cowboys has a guy who is a real playmaker. As for injuries Felix has never had a big issue with them and if this continues through out his career that could be a problem but this early in his career I would not write him off as being fragile

I guess you didn't see those passes by Jamarcus Russell airmailed to Denver defenders in Oakland territory. You must have been wearing your bright orange Bronco colored sunglasses during this INT's. We'll see what happens on Sunday but I am not going to tell you that your 3-0 record is impressive against Oakland, Cincinnati, and Cleveland.

Especially when you consider how they ended up beating Cincy.

It will probably be a tough defensive game this week. But the Broncos are overmatched.

Well if he's really out for 2 weeks that really sucks. At least barber will be back and between him and Choice we'll run pretty good. Losing Felix really does cause us to lose a lot of our stretch the field and explosion ability though.
