Lots of money, to be sure, but it's still kinda cool that he didn't go about getting everything he could have in order to leave room for the players they need to resign. I do like seeing that.

more like Paid-ton Manning

geez, overpaid so much, especially for a postseason choker.

He'll go down as one of the best to ever play the game.

I think he's more than earned it.

Exactly, anyone who says otherwise is severely misguided imo

Class act. Actually wanted to take less money for the betterment of the team.

I guessss, in the regular season of course, but even in his superbowl run he was terrible, had more INTs than TDs, Bob Sanders and the defense completely carried the team but lots of people dont acknowledge that.

The Colts have winning seasons, and get to go to the playoffs pretty much every year. That's not because of Bob Sanders.

Holy cow, you were serious? (insert facepalm smiley here)

Though a noble gesture to take 'less', taking 18 instead of 20 is not that large. The man could have played for the vet minimum for the rest of his career and probably still live an extremely comfortable life after football. Unless he has spent madly on every little luxury in life that is.

Probably because in the grand scheme of the season the offense completely carried the defense to the playoffs.

I think it's a bit much for someone of his age but the colts are in a tough spot. You don't want to be the team that lost Manning.

That was true that 1 year, the defense was bad that year then in the playoffs they picked it up...poor Bob Sanders has never been the same since that run.

but Tom Brady will always be better than Peyton Manning

Yea, but the only reason they have 1 superbowl is because of Bob Sanders.
