I think the Cowboys need to use Witten as a blocker next week and get the ball to Bennett.

I'd sit him down. He's been playing hurt all year. Sit him, Romo, Felix, etc... sit 'em all. Then we come back fully healthy after the bye.

I guess it depends on how bad the bruise is. If he's having problems breathing, sit him down.

There's absolutely no reason to sit a guy with bruised ribs...if there's no break, no crack, he can't get hurt worse.

He needs to manage the pain and play...we need all hands on board, and he usually plays huge against NY.

He appeared to be in a lot of pain on the field today. If he has to sit, I won't be mad at him. He has given the Cowboys his all. I hope he can go, though.

If the bruising (aka swelling) is bad enough to hinder his breathing, then you SIT HIM DOWN.

Yup, no chance Wit will miss this game. Witten played with a broken jaw, Keith Rivers is out for the year this year with a broken jaw...Witten is a true warrior.

He says he is hopeful to play next week, but he is saying he is going to have more tests tomorrow. Per DMN tonight. I dont think its a given he plays next week.

I dont think he plays next week. This team needed to just go 1-1 in these two games before the bye.

I think the plan is to play as well as we can and then get ready for washington and prepare to make a run, if possible.

I agree with you.

He isn't going to miss the game for some bruised ribs. I know they're no doubt painful but they'll be able to help him manage that issue and he'll play.
