He has to come off PUP before the season starts to be available for WK 2. Otherwise he has to miss 6 WKS.

At this point I think Spencer is a lost cause and a fart away from being injured again. However maybe he makes us eat some humble pie and comes back with a vengeance.

Where are you getting the idea that he won't be on the 53 for week 1? The Tweet in the OP specifically says, "Anthony Spencer will come off PUP soon and open season on roster." Not being ready for week 1 doesn't mean he can't be on the roster -- he'll just be inactive.

• Per Game Bonus: $46,875

he will be on the 53 man roster but not active for the game. if he does'nt come off pup before the season starts then he could'nt play game 2.

It is amazing how they actually think they can pull off keeping five DL on the 53 and not play any of them against the 49ers. I guess the concept of sending wave after wave of scrubs has been scrapped, right along with the idea they can replace Ware's production with three players.

Just curious what is going on in his tiny brain. I understand Spencer, maybe McClain and possibly Brent. Two signings off the street? Who else is sidelined?

Barring anymore catastrophic injuries, this defense could get a nice jolt by mid season if they can somehow survive the first half.

Scandrick back > week 4

McClain should be ready. He's back to full practice this week I think.

I think you might see 3-4 pickups in free agency, and the semi-good news is that defensive linemen can play right away. Not a big adjustment switching teams at that position.
