Depending on his injury status and current condition I cant imagine wade isnt interested.

In buffalo he had ted washington and pat williams...so I am sure he can find the right usage for two good players at the same position.

He would be a great find like brooking if we got two good years out of him.
You can never be good enough up front.

I wonder how much tread is left on those tires..

If he can get 10-15 snaps than that's great.

I know someone else brought it up before..but if we can land him, it would be great. It would free up Rat and we can move him to his more natural position

QUARTERBACK! :laugh2: :laugh2: :laugh2:

I'd rather draft a young guy because I would think that Williams could get decent money and more playing time from someone... But who knows. If he realizes he'd be better off not playing full time and is willing to sign a reasonable deal, why not. He's probably to the point in his career where he'd be more effective playing only limited snaps.

This is one of those times where you wish you had the draft first to see what you got there.

That is the ideal situation. Improving up front through the draft is a much more sound idea than taking a shot with williams for 1 or 2 years max.

Hopefully, the front office knows exactly what is in the draft at the position and who could be that guy to come in.

Also, what the improvement of a full offseason after playing a full season is for siavii obviously will get weighed in the decision.

We play the best offenses in the league next year and washingtons will improve, our defense needs to be in tip top shape.

I would like for us to take a look at him. If he can handle 20 snaps a game hes a huge upgrade or Siaviii. IF.

agreed. he is 34, but has he been injury prone? if his load is reduced he can give us that 10-12 snaps or like you said up to 20 snaps and allow Rat to be moved around or get some rest.

Excellent.

The Cowboys can sign Williams, start him at NT, and finally move Ratliff to DE...because that's the position where he'll really excel.:p:

Junior Siavii -157 snaps versus ratliff 775
Tank Johnson - 372 snaps versus Ratliff 694
Remi Ayodele/Tank Johnson - 240 snaps versus ratliff 533

You get Williams and you just have a new dynamic.

You are ignoring the fact that Rat's snaps have gone up 242...I don't think thats a coincidence as the talent behind him as gotten worse.

and to save 5 snaps a game (roughly the diff between last year and this year) would be huge imo.

How did I ignore it, that was my entire point...

Best case scenario is we have Jamal Williams man the nose from the 3-4. And use Ratliff as mainly a pass rusher on 3rd and maybe 2nd and long.

Oh, my bad. By new dynamic I thought you were saying it would be the same story different player. Misinterpreted...

Yesss I hope we go after him. He'd be the perfect depth we need on the defensive line and allows for flexibility with Ratliff. We can move him around and let him wreak havoc at NT or DE

Is Siavii that much of drop off from Williams and is that a need for this team?

If Ratliff were to get hurt (God forbid), it would be nice to have Jamal to plug in...
