I guess Kurt Warner's glory days are officially over. He will spend the rest of his career as a back-up.

Do you hear that wailing?

It's the sound of the Larry Fitzgerald, Anquan Boldin, and Edgerrin James fantasy owners crying.

Hate to break it to you, but they've been over for a few years now. He should have retired before he went to NY.

Actually Edge will become a more valuable FF player now.

Retired ? Come on he is a 2 time NFL MVP. He certainly found Boldin and Fitz last season. He simply hasnt been a great QB for a little while but I would still take him over the likes of Aaron Brooks (Tui), or whomever Tennessee and Tampa are starting this next week.

Just picked him up as an FA.. rough week to make your debut though, ATL is playing pretty good D so far this year.

Sidenote: should I start Gates vs baltimore or Winslow vs Oakland?

Who says they are not rejoicing? The Cards offense may themselves be rejoicing...

You chose Gates to early to sit him. Even though the matchup favors Kellen, I personally could not sit Gates.

Watch out for Bruce Gradkowski (tampa starter this week) he has all the intangibles plus the ability to run with the ball and I think he will end up being a starter in this league. He was a 3 year starter at Toledo and had a 71 pct completion percentage; it has been proven that games started and completion percentage are the two most reliable indicators of the NFL success of college QB's. He is a buddy of mine and it's a shame that he's getting his shot this way but I sure hope he makes the most of his opportunity.

*ran to the waiver wire as Mort said it......*

Umm, I have Kurt Warner, nuff said, lol.

Now I have Leinart too, so I'm safe. Glad I was here to get him, or I was really messed up at QB. Of course, I don't think a rookie QB (Leinart) will be that good, so I might need to look elsewhere for a QB. I don't think I can recommend him as a starter, unfortunately.

true,...after he left StL, in fact the year before he left StL, he had lost it.
He's only good enough to be a stop-gap and yet he, and his wife, insist that he's still in MVP form. He's a good dude, I don't have anything against him, its just that he should've let it go after StL.

when we play the Cards. Barney Rubble aka Chris Mortensen says that Leinart will start this Sunday.

If this is true, the Cards are looking towards the future, giving up on this year.

Im not going to chalk Titans up as a win and we playing in Titans home too. It's going to be a tough game any way you think about it. Any team could lose on any given sunday.

they arnt bagging the season, they are trying to improve themselves....he will probably struggle some but Leinart is an improvement over Warner in just about every way...he's bigger, has a better arm, takes better care of the football and is probably more accurate at this point...fortunately they are making the move now so we'll have a few games of film to look at, but I wouldnt go chalking up any W's because of it yet...we arnt that good yet

..and moving on with their program as ditching their season. No more than us moving Quincy Carter into a starting role early or like the Gints did with Manning last year.

When you have alot invested in a young QB, you have to find out quickly what he can handle and if the players around him compliment his strengths or magnify his weaknesses because you need to know what is going to be needed in the next off-season and draft.

And like Manning with the Gints last year, he got better as the year rolled on.

So I'd role the dice, too, if we had Leinhart.

Wish we did have him.

I still think Romo is not our future starter and that he has serious limits in his game throwing the ball and will run into trouble once he's scouted by the other teams.

We have to stop basing our future at QB with longshots and retreads. Romo is a huge longshot. In the end, he'll be below average and not of top QB caliber.

I've watched the Cowboys for 40 years and the only teams that were successful were with pure QB's drafted high and groomed for the position. Roger Staubach was drafted low, but had he not gone into the Navy, we'd have been a #1 top 3 pick his senior year. Meredith was a #1 pick, Morton a #1 pick, Troy a #1 pick, Danny White was like a 2nd or 3rd round pick I believe.

The times where we had other QB's like Hogeboom under Landry and others after Troy are a testimony to the longstanding quagmire a team will endure if a top QB isn't found and installed.

But a guy like Leinhart can and will dominate games with his arm and be a solid future star.

We'll see..but Denny Greene knows QB's. I'd trust in his decisions.
