Patrick Ramsey-QB- Broncos Feb. 27 - 11:50 am et
As expected, free agent Patrick Ramsey is visiting the Texans on Friday.
This is the Texans' first free agent meeting. Ramsey won't generate much interest elsewhere, so look for this marriage to become finalized soon.

Kurt Warner-QB- Cardinals Feb. 27 - 11:43 am et
Free agent Kurt Warner clarified his status with the Cardinals in an interview with the Dan Patrick Show early Friday.
"We haven’t seen eye-to-eye on the market," Warner said. "My agent and the Cardinals are sometimes looking at apples and oranges and...hopefully something can be worked out." Warner didn't sound angry that Arizona has failed to meet his demands, indicating he's still confident he'll re-sign. Warner did say he's fielded a call from one "NFC team" already.Source: azcardinals.com
Brian Dawkins-DB- Eagles Feb. 27 - 11:38 am et
The Eagles are "believed" to have offered a one-year contract to free agent S Brian Dawkins.
Other teams are probably shying from Dawkins because they know he'll be back in Philadelphia. The 13-year pro has spent his entire career there.

Antonio Smith-DL- Cardinals Feb. 27 - 11:36 am et
Free agent DE Antonio Smith has reportedly set up a meeting with the Eagles.
Smith is also rumored to be on the Texans' and division rival Giants' radar. It's unclear where he'd fit in Philly. The Birds are deep on the line.

Stacy Andrews-T- Bengals Feb. 27 - 11:33 am et
A league source confirmed to Bengals.com that the Eagles have signed free agent OT Stacy Andrews, pending a physical.
The physical is key, as Andrews is coming off a torn ACL and MCL. The exam will likely be completed by Friday evening, with an announcement forthcoming. Andrews is a high-risk, high-reward signing. Perhaps no other young tackle available has more potential.

Grady Jackson-DL- Falcons Feb. 27 - 11:29 am et
The Broncos have expressed interest in free agent NT Grady Jackson.
Jackson is currently out of Denver's price range, which is perplexing. He didn't key an effective run defense in Atlanta last year and is 36 years old.

Jason Brown-C- Ravens Feb. 27 - 11:27 am et
The Raiders have reportedly entered the hunt for free agent Jason Brown.
Brown, who is currently in or on his way to St. Louis, could be viewed by Oakland as a guard or center. The Raiders have needs at both positions.

Stacy Andrews-T- Bengals Feb. 27 - 11:02 am et
The Eagles have reportedly signed former Bengals OT Stacy Andrews.
The story was originally broken by Profootballtalk.com, but they appear to be having server issues. Andrews figures to get over $5 million annually. He'll likely start at right tackle, allowing his brother Shawn to stay inside.

Demetric Evans-DL- Commanders Feb. 27 - 10:54 am et
The 49ers have scheduled free agent visits with DL Demetric Evans and FB Moran Norris.
They want Norris back to lead block for Frank Gore. Mike Martz got rid of Norris last year because he couldn't catch. Evans isn't ideally built to play end in the Niners' 3-4 defense, but could fill a Marques Douglas-like role.

Khary Campbell-LB- Commanders Feb. 27 - 10:51 am et
The Commanders made free agent LB Khary Campbell a contract offer Friday.
Campbell, a special teamer and backup, was likely proposed the minimum. He'll see what else is out there. The Skins wouldn't offer him a shot to start.

Shawn Springs-DB- Commanders Feb. 27 - 10:49 am et
Commanders informed CB Shawn Springs of his release.
The Skins unsurprisingly found no takers in a trade for the 34-year-old. Springs can still play, but GM Vinny Cerrato tipped his hand by immediately putting him on the block after re-signing DeAngelo Hall. At that point Springs' release had become inevitable and nobody would have given up a pick for him. Hall and Carlos Rogers will be Washington's starting corners in 2009. The Saints and old DC Gregg Williams figure to show interest in Springs.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh-WR- Bengals Feb. 27 - 10:35 am et
Two sources tell FOXSports' Alex Marvez that T.J. Houshmandzadeh is making a free agent visit to Seattle on Friday.
It's the first visit scheduled for Housh since free agency opened at 12AM. Houshmandzadeh offers durability -- something Seattle is desperate for at wideout -- and a skill set suited for OC Greg Knapp's West Coast offense.

Sage Rosenfels-QB- Vikings Feb. 27 - 10:28 am et
Updating previous items, Sage Rosenfels' new contract with the Vikings is a two-year, $9 million extension.
Originally reported as only $9 million over three seasons, Rosenfels will probably get around $11-12 million through 2011 in actuality. We are still waiting to see the signing bonus. This isn't much of a starter's contract.

T.J. Houshmandzadeh-WR- Bengals Feb. 27 - 10:23 am et
T.J. Houshmandzadeh is reportedly "at the top" of the Lions' wish list to fill their hole at No. 2 receiver.
A rock-solid possession threat like Housh working opposite Calvin Johnson would give the Lions a dangerous receiver corps, but it's their defense that needs the most work. Michael Boley would've been a good target.

Derrick Ward-RB- Giants Feb. 27 - 10:18 am et
Giants beat writer Mike Garafalo passes along old Combine buzz that he heard the Bucs would offer free agent Derrick Ward $15 million over four years.
The deal would include $8M guaranteed. Ward and agent Drew Rosenhaus will want more money, but Tampa would be a solid fit. He'd be the favorite for third-down work and probably split early-down carries with Earnest Graham. Ward dynasty owners should still hope the Bengals step up.

Kurt Warner-QB- Cardinals Feb. 27 - 10:09 am et
The Cardinals reportedly "aren't budging" from their offer of $10 million a year to free agent Kurt Warner.
Beat writer Kent Somers says he'd still be very surprised if Warner doesn't return to the desert. It's uncertain if Warner is even fielding phone calls from other teams because he hasn't been linked anywhere else.

Chris Baker-TE- Patriots Feb. 27 - 10:02 am et
Patriots agreed to terms with TE Chris Baker on an undisclosed contract.
Not exactly revenge for Spygate, but good to see the Jets-Patriots pipeline still working. Baker's career high in catches is only 41, but he can play all three downs competently and block well enough. New England was often short-handed at tight end last year with Ben Watson inconsistent and poor depth behind him. Neither is likely to be a useful fantasy option.

Rocky Bernard-DL- Seahawks Feb. 27 - 9:59 am et
In addition to Michael Boley, the Giants are hosting free agent DT Rocky Bernard for a visit Friday.
The Giants have concern at defensive tackle with starters Barry Cofield and Fred Robbins both coming off arthroscopic knee surgery. Bernard would add depth as a third or fourth tackle and some pass-rush ability up the middle.

Michael Clayton-WR- Buccaneers Feb. 27 - 9:55 am et
Free agent Michael Clayton has reportedly emerged as the Seahawks' "top choice" currently on the market.
They shouldn't have a hard time bringing him under contract. Another wideout with persistent leg issues, Clayton won't solve any problems in Seattle. The 'Hawks are reportedly also close to signing RT Jon Stinchcomb.

Patrick Ramsey-QB- Broncos Feb. 27 - 9:53 am et
The Texans are expected to sign free agent Patrick Ramsey to replace Sage Rosenfels as Matt Schaub's backup.
This is a severe downgrade. Ramsey knows Gary Kubiak's offense after his stay in Denver, but the former first-round pick had elbow problems in 2008 and has never been a good player. Alex Brink couldn't be that much worse.
