Anybody know anything about him? Is he eligible to come out this season? I was youtubing some Reggle Bush highlites and this guy came up on there as the next Reggie. I watched the highlites and this kid has a burst and a half on him, like the nos from the fast and the furious. What do you guys think of him as a possible draft pick next season. Again, I do not know anything about him so if hes just a speacil situation back I apologize. Heres the highlite tape i watched. This guy reminds me of Larry Johnson with alot more speed and agilty. What do you guys think.

He's going to be a junior this year, I believe. He's from my home area, non other than Tidewater, Virginia.

No he's more comparable to Reggie Bush, he's not big like Larry Johnson.

He has 2 more years left. He'll be a true sophomore this upcoming season. The guy has another gear. He may be the fastest player in the SEC, if not the nation. Gator fans love him, would have had more of an impact last season if not for a nagging high ankle sprain. Once he was fully healed it was all over.

He is going to be a sophomore, but I wouldn't say he's the poor man's Ted Ginn. I don't think he returned kicks or punts in '06 and Ginn wasn't a RB/WR.

The Reggie Bush comparison is perfect. He's not as good as Bush right now obviously, but he was only a freshman. He's got major upside for sure. He was MVP of the SEC Championship game and his freshman stats were on almost identical to Bush's.

He is not the next Larry Johnson he does not even come close, for one he better find a position to plaly or else he wont make it to a NFL. He can not be a running back because he does not have the build of one. He needs to be developed as a WR. If he does, then you can start talking about him.

He was 5'11"/185 in 2006 when he was only 19 years old. He'll continue growing quite a bit in the next 2-3 years and in that time he can get up to about 5'11"/210 pounds and be considered the ideal size for a RB. Or he can be a RB/WR like Bush (6'0"/200) or Westbrook (5'8"/200).

I'm from Chesapeake Va. and unless the kid changed I want no part of him. He went to High School with my Daughter, when we lived in Virginia Beach, He hung with the wrong crowd and got in trouble alot. I believe they had to forfeit some games.

He's was a true, first year freshman this year, which tells you all you need to know about him as an athlete since he played a big role with the national champs in Florida.

My son played against him in the Virginia state semifinals when they were both juniors. Percy Harvin was a beast...he can catch, he can run, he can return, he can play defense. He has speed, he has even more shiftiness, and he isn't afraid of contact...and he's still growing.

In high school, he led his team to the State title his junior year, and they were the best team by far in the state again this year, but as someone else has noted, they had to forfeit some games.

He has to play two more seasons in college before he can even consider coming out to the NFL...he'll either show the maturity to stay academically eligible and become one of the all time great college players, or he'll become another Maurice Clarett, only with 10 times more talent.

Trust me...he will be a legitimate Heisman candidate as a true sophomore this season. Where he is in two years is a big question mark, though.

As a sidenote, during that state semifinal two years ago, my son's team had one of the best defenses in the state...they totally shut down Landstown's running game and harrassed the QB to the point he had trouble getting the ball downfield to Harvin. Midway through the 2nd quarter, the Landstown coach started swinging Harvin through the backfield and handing him the ball, the goofiest and simplest of plays, yet one of the top defenses in the state that sent several starters to UVA, Va TEch, Univ. of Richmond, and a few other smaller schools couldn't stop him...he destroyed Lloyd C. Bird singlehandedly, including running a punt back for a TD and intercepting a pass and running it back for a TD.

Visit this site for some high school stats and pictures...notice he was the #1 WR recruit in the nation, and he graduated with a 3.0 from high school, so he wasn't a total thug...my son said he was a good sport and pulled for him in recruiting.

Well, he certainly did make more plays than Ginn during his freshman year.

Percy Harvin has been a dominant athlete since he was a frosh in HS

I wanted him to come to VT but he chose UF. The kid is going to be a big time star in the NFL when he comes out in 2 years

The problem is, he already has a bigger head then TO. He has been coddled forever and in his senior year state title game got punked by Oakton High School which is in the less talented northern VA area
