Lamarcus Joyner at 16? He's hardly a top 50 prospect, let alone a top 20.

In your opinion. He is a perfect FS/Slot CB in mine. Could probably trade down and pick him up between the 20th - 25th in the first round but he wouldn't be there with our second round pick. I admit I took him a little early but him along with the other players selected would warrant an A to a B+ on this draft. With the first four picks being potential cornerstones for the future.

Would have preferred Pryor there, but he was taken. And so was Donald. Joyner I rank as the second best safety prospect in the draft.

Ehh not really my opinion that he's not a 20 prospect, not sure anybody even has him as a top 32. Undersized without a real position usually doesn't go in the 1st.

I don't doubt that Joyner will be a useful NFL player, it's just a matter of if he's the type of guy you can leave on the field for pretty the entire game. I think he's more of a nickel/dime package guy. I'd much rather have his teammate Terrence Brooks who is a true FS.

The draft is built on people's opinions, and history has proven majority doesn't always equate accuracy. IMO he is a free safety that can play the slot, and well I may add. I don't have the same assessment at all, I view him as a player that mans the FS duties in the conventional sets and moves to the slot in dime packages, which makes him a player that plays multiple positions not one without a position. He is better than Brooks in every aspect of football except size and I would be willing to bet you that time will reveal this fact.

And your fully entitled to your opinion....I just strongly disagree with it lol. Guess we'll find out in 2 or 3 years. I'm not saying Joyner would be a bad pick in general, but at 16 he would be a pretty horrible pick in my opinion.

If we took Joyner in the first i would be upset.

If we took him with the 16th pick I would be freaking FURIOUS.

That was a draft simulator without trade downs he was the best player left on the board IMO. I won't take him before somewhere in the mid 20 of the first round if it was "the draft", but him not being a first round worthy pick is what I was addressing which seemed to be what you were saying. like I said I would take Pryor and Donald before him, but not too many others that have a chance of being there at 16.

I hope we get a chance to revisit that assessment in the future.

Makes no difference if he was an all pro HOF down the road. Its where you can have him slotted now before the draft and during the draft.

And I don't know what kind of whacked out board you were using where he was the BPA on the board at 16 but that board is screwed.

How was this a perfect mock? Reaching over better safeties for a dwarf at 16, no thanks. I love Crichton but that's about it in this mock.

At this point in time we have quite a few zoners who recognize chicken little with your 1st two draft picks so post at your own risk. I agree Joyner should not see the 16th pick but by current media available he might not be around for the 47th. Too many people are thinking these draft sites are close to science when in fact they are very beta software with scenes like Manziel and Donald being available at 47, at this point in time we know that not viable. They are fun not realistic, keep that in mind, most of us will attempt to keep our tongue in cheek as we still hunt and peck with watching youtube video and reading daily updates on pro days from all forms of media.

Yeah well, that reveals the validity of your assessment, the object of any draft is to get the Best Player available and being an "all pro HOF" is a justification for any player to be the right pick in the first round. The audacity of some you guys to think your opinion is more valid than others is humorous at times. That comment made no sense!

It makes all kinds of sense. Just because it does not fall into the idea of him being the BPA at 16.

You can trade down a time or two and sill get him in the second... And NOBODY knows if he is a future HOF. He would still be drafted too early at 16 Before he ever played a down in the NFL.

Other than being 'perfectly' disappointed with that draft there is nothing else even remotely 'perfect' about it to me.

To each their own. Mock drafts are mock drafts. I'm sure you wouldn't like mine either.:)
