I couldn't watch the game last night so I was reading the game thread. I could only take it for a few minutes.

Posters were crushing Dallas on a play by play basis. They had no objectivity. The game has to flow and develop. Some of the takes were utterly ridiculous.

No team will ever be perfect on offense, defense, and special teams every game, let alone every play.

Dallas has now made the playoffs in consecutive years since 2006, 2007.

Dallas has won 12 games in back to back season since 1994, 1995.

But literally every player, every coach, anybody associated with the team are the bottom of the barrel in the NFL. I think the only person not crucified is Maher, and God forbid he misses a big kick in the playoffs.

People stop, smell the roses. Can Dallas still lay an egg and end this season on a sour note, ABSOLUTELY! But as of today, things are ok. Enjoy it.

youre using logic in a place that doesnt use logic

once you realize opening a game day thread is nothing more than having to take a bad #2 and going to the bathroom and finding out theres a whole cobb salad in and around the toilet you lower your expectations because logic isnt found here

if we win 40-0 rush for 400 yards and pass for 102 guess what? there will be threads about why do we have a 40 million man handing the ball off

i can imagine if this board was around in the 70s......

"Staubach is terrible for 3 and a half quarters thats why he has to come back in the end and win it, we should start longley"
LOL. I wouldn't doubt it.

There's nothing more exhilarating than pointing out what you perceive as shortcomings in other fans of the Cowboys.

I think some of you deep down want and need this so you can get up on your soap boxes and try to imply that you are better people than others over silly football comments.

It was my impression he was throwing shade on game day comments...because of the "play by play basis".

He doesn;t understand the point of game day thread.

The main problem with this team is HC MM, to listen to this idiot say he's not worried about the slow starts, the playing down to competition, interceptions and Prescot in general is just fricking mind boggling!!!!!!!!!!! Once Brady bounces these underachievers out of the playoffs HC MM needs to be fired immediately!

Also 1991: Troy Aikman is overpaid and overrated, Steve Beurlein can lead us to the Lombardi!! :lmao2:
Didn't Jimmy start Beurlein over a 'cleared to play' Aikman in the playoffs against the Bears and the Lions? Aikman came in early against the Lions and they lost. Probably would have gone all the way if they stuck with Beurlein....

I was young but I recall both QB's had pick sixes in that Lions game? I guess Jimmy thought the team was riding a wave with Beurlein and then when he decided midgame to switch to Aikman it was too late.

All three of them would have been run out of town by the Zone.

Jimmy can't win even with all those draft picks.
Aikman can't stay healthy and can't win the big games.
Beurlein is a bus driver who can't get the team over the hump.

Ok. Maybe that last one is true....

As someone who enjoys the game day threads I take exception to this. As does @john van brocklin and many others I am sure.

But seriously though, of course we are going to say ridiculous things. We are emotionally invested in this team.

Ditto!
Emotions flow
Zoners vent
We throw things.
Kick the cat.
After the game it's all good
