Last night Cris mentioned it.

Cris mentioning it last night was the first time I've heard his name come up as a potential HC canidate.

These guys are mentioning it as someone who has been discussed by the Cowboys, or guys they think should be discussed?

Perry Ferrell??

Just because he is a good defensive coordinator that does not automatically make him a good head coach . Look at wade.
Another point he has good players in NY and we don't

Buffalo was greatly improved last yr IIRC after he took over as interim HC

I really like him.

However, I worry about someone like him coming into this situation. I don't think this job is for someone who doesn't have a bunch of skins on the wall with a huge sense of self.

A novice can't do the job here - not with Jerry being so vocal and available.

I think you have to bring in someone who is very much an alpha dog to run this team, and he has to be the kind of guy who is going to be that even when he is around Jerry, albeit in a proper manner.

I don't want that guy...He's been caught stealing.

Exactly, and a huge downgrade from Wade who has been stealing all year and still at large...

As long as Jerruh is the GM & he insists on micro-managing this team, then even Knute Rockne would fail as Cowboys HC.

The problem is mostly JJ. Cowher, Chuckie, Fewell, et al- won't make a bit of diffrence.

Case in point; Remember when Danny Boy in DC thought that he was a football genuis? How did that work out for the Skins?
Unfortunately, Jerruh wins just enough to think he's doing a good job. Maybe after this trainwreck of a season, he'll wise up & hire some competent football minds to run the ship.
We shall see.

I had heard his name come up recently by certain media. Including collinsworth and today on first take and was wondering if anyone close to the situation had heard of it internally being tossed around.

Oh . . . so he's the new Token interview?

Now that the Vikes are tanking he's taken Leslie Frazier's long held spot.

I know Perry personally. He is my good friends dad. I will say that he did an excellent job when he was the d-coordinator for the Bills. They had a multiple injuries and his defense always produced. He was the d-coordinator when Dallas played the Bills on Monday night several years ago. He also did a heck of job as an interim coach for the Bills as well. He should have got the head coaching job. Their defense was not the problem for the Bills last year and this year it is the problem..

I will say that he does an excellent job of inspiring his players to play. He has had a lot of success where ever he has been. I will say that I will be pulling for him!
