I just want to make a thread apologizing about my "doug free is JAG" comments ive been making. Even though it's one game, it's all I needed to see. He really impressed last night.

I did however earn some cred back this Brewster. Damn that guy is simply a pure JAG.

When you go off half-cocked making judgements that haven't been supported by anything on the field, there's no credibility to be had one way or another. You lose cred by going off half-cocked, and then you lose more if you go off half-cocked and are later proven to be dead wrong.

Either way, backtracking yourself on a player after one series in one quarter of one preseason game isn't exactly the road to enlightenment.

Everyone thought Free was JAG two years ago. Give Brewster some time. He was a bit of a project and another year could turn some heads next year.

...Better to keep your mouth shut and be thought a fool than to open it and remove all doubt.

I would refrain from making any judgments based on one game, one look, one meeting, one phone call, etc.

Is this like R2A's appology for really crazy posting that you'll forget the moment it's convient for you?

I hope not but I wouldn't worry about it, one way or another, from your standpoint. It's one series of his first preseason game at LT.

I believe he can do, and I certainly hope he can, but I'm in a 'show me' mode with him as far as LT goes. But I was certainly all for giving him the shot to show the world he could do it so I don't have any issues with the fact that the Cowboys are going with him and giving him the shot.
