Even bad NFL teams rarely get beaten like that. A 40-0 win is meaningful regardless of who the opponent was.

People were predicting the Giants to be good this year, and many ‘experts’ had them winning this game.

You know how it is they moved the goal posts soon as the Cowboys destroyed them all of a sudden they're just saquon Barkley and a bag of chips even though that their quarterback just got a nice $42 million deal and apparently they improved and had the best coaching staff in the NFC East that was all pregame right... They always change the narrative to downplay a Cowboys win yeah look at the Eagles two wins this year they don't look very good at all I mean give them credit for winning but their opponents are handing them the games again..

The Giants started the 2022 season 6-1. The next week, they played the Cowboys.

Since their 6-1 start, they have a record of 4-8-1 in their last 13 games, including the two playoff games last season. Against the NFC east, they are 0-3 vs. both the Eagles and Cowboys, and 1-0-1 against the Commanders - about a 19% win rate.

So tap the brakes just a little before getting overly exuberant over the win Sunday night.

We just beat a team that was in the playoffs last season. According to many current and former coaches and players, it is very hard to win games in the NFL.

According to those same players and coaches, it is extremely hard to blow an NFL team out and keep them from scoring on top of that.

If beating NFL teams 40-0 was easy, we would see it done weekly like college football teams do to lesser teams. But we don't....

So no... I'm not tapping my breaks and I'm going to enjoy that dismantling until Saturday night.
