Look around the league and pay attention to all the games and its wIll show you we are not unique. So I guess Carrol is just horrible because his team blew a big lead yesterday and LOST....AT HOME.

I guess the bears won a close game because the Bengals "gifted," then 3 straight turnovers. If it weren't for those turnovers they would have been blown out.

Reid sucks. We all know you need to make Jackson beat you with his arm, yet the chiefs let him run wild to beat them? Cmon Reid, I've been told you are an all time great coach.

I've said this over and over and over. The difference between winning and losing is razor thin, and it shows every weekend. In 2014 we were 5 plays away from being 8 and 8.

So did the coaches do a better job this week since we won?

Seven of the 15 games played this weekend were decided by 3 points or less. The difference between winning and losing in the NFL is often quite small.

exactly. I have argued as much that most games go into the 4th quarter within a score...so its how the 4th quarter is managed that makes a difference between winning and losing and good coaches vs. just coaches.

Mistakes are often the difference. Great players make fewer mistakes. That’s why having a QB is so important.

You can look at Herbert’s passing stats and say man he’s great. But you can look at the mental mistakes he makes and see why he is now, 7-10ish as a starter.

I get we are starved for football chatter, I know I am, but............nothing matters much right now and it won;t until around week 7th, then we start seeing how things actually are..

Exactly
The majority of games in this league are very close
This is great for the league and makes games so exciting

excatly. and I would say coaches are more important in managing the 4th quarter than anybody else.....

When you widen the viewing lens it becomes clear that coaches like Carrol and Reid always seem to be in the Tournament. That's the difference I want to experience with the Cowboys again.

....on top of playing good game. Lady Dice rolled a few our way.

It's that dumb pass happy football that makes teams lose a good lead. Huge mistakes are made all the time in the passing game, because coaches struggle to keep it simple. If you can't keep it simple with a 700 page playbook, then you shouldn't be coaching.

Oxymoronic Idiots.

These facts are so well known yet we see stupid thread after stupid thread complaining and whining over and over again about things that actually are quite common in this league....... otherwise known as FOOTBALL.
make those stupid threads go away.

I don't think this is poorly coached team, however, there have been enough mistakes and questionable coaching decisions from the first two weeks that makes me wonder just how far this team can go and whether or not they can count on the coaching staff to consistently given them an edge in big games. I'd like to see some of this stuff get cleaned up over the next few weeks.

Cowboys have started the season with 2 tough opponents on the road, 1st one we played good and put ourselves in a position to win and come up just short and the 2nd played good and again put ourselves in position to win and got the win. Right now I like what I am seeing with this team and yes the coaches, I watch Moore devise 2 totally different offensive scheme to attack the oppositions areas of weakness with success and Quinn early stages of putting in his defense with a lot of new and young faces.
