With a new year and new coaches, a lot of pet cats are going to get thrown under the bus because the new regime will have more interest in "their guys" than the 'holdovers".

So I thought it might it would be nice to pay our final respects to our pet cats whose chance to shine is probably past.

For me, it's Hunter Luepke.

I think McCarthy wanted to make Luepke a thing. But he didn't manage it, and now in Hunter's 3rd year with new coaches, I don't see it happening.

I, too, had hopes that he'd be retained in 2025 but obviously, it wasn't quite in the cards.

More like was never given a chance on O. The little that he played, he consistently gained positive yardage. Him not playing is a huge question as to why.
