Animal rights group PETA has called on authorities to investigate whether Dallas Cowboys star receiver Dez Bryant is in illegal possession of a baby monkey, asking for the animal to be transferred to a sanctuary.

PETA is scum......a farce, a hypocritical organization. The very leader of the group has had a part in the slaughter and abuse of thousands of innocent animals.
PETA promotes terrorist activity and harmful actions towards humans under the false guise of animal protection. This is the last group I would listen to, or give credence to, when it comes to the safety and well being of animals.

I have no issue with Dez having this monkey, as long as he gives the animal a loving home. If he is good to the monkey, I see no reason why there should be an issue. I mean, at Dez' home, there is 100% certainty that the monkey's natural predators will not be an issue.

I'm not a huge advocate of PETA but do believe that animals should be allowed to live in their natural habitat or as close as possible and they should have socialization and interaction with their own species.

that is all well and good, except for the fact that humans encroach on their land, poach them, capture and sell them.....That is why I am for wildlife reserves and even zoos, as long as they are managed properly.

I would love for monkeys, lions, tigers, etc. to be able to live in the wild....but unfortunately, many of these species are either extinct in the wild or close to. So, if we have to put them in zoos or reserves to keep them from extinction, then so be it.
