Can't help feeling happy for the guy. Probably played his way back into the league. I'd take him back.

Well I wouldnt really want him back but its definately a feel good story. That was a pretty nice pick he had vs the bears, good concentration on the play.

He might of ended up being a solid CB for us if not for Zimmer.

He has the size and speed, that's for sure. Zimmer probably got him too worried about the precise angle of his left big toe before the snap when facing a wide out of 5'11.5" or taller on a 2nd and 3 situation that it ruined him with us.

Oh come on. Is global warming on Zimmer too? How about World War 2? We blaming him for Three Mile Island too?

Give the guy a break, and sure as hell don't blame him for Pete Hunter. Hunter was one of the worst cover guys we had, and that was during the lean years. He got by on his speed long enough to stick around, that's it. If it was Zimmer's fault that Hunter couldn't turn his hips or read where a receiver was going if he had a map drawn for him, then call me Sally and give me a dress to wear to the next Cowboys game I go to. Hunter MIGHT have been a good free safety, but we'll never know because he was too cowardly (or whatever) to try.

I'm happy Hunter got a chance to come off his loan officer job or whatever to play in the playoffs, but it's not like he performed well. Glenn had a step on him almost every play... they just couldn't get it out there to him.

He's been johnny on the spot, I haven't been particularly impressed by his play.

He recovered a fumble and had a ball, where he was beaten on a route ( i think), bounce right into his hands...

Funny... straight from ZIMMER'S MOUTH, in 2002 he was the BEST man 2 man coverguy on the team.

So either you're wrong about Hunter's coverage skills, or you're wrong about Zimmer. Which is it?

Who was he competing with in 2002? Derek Ross and Jermaine Jones? Wow, what a rousing compliment he slung Hunter's way, assuming he even said that, which I'm sure you can't prove.

It doesn't matter who he was competing with cuz you said...

You said it yourself. That he was the WORST CB we had, even during the lean years. Yet Zimmer disagreed with that. He said himself that he was the BEST coverman we had (and that was during the lean years).

So either you're wrong about Hunter, or you're wrong about Zimmer. Which is it?

Don't know about all that but I'm pretty sure he is responsible for the Bird Flu.
