Pete Prisco Mock (4/6)

He seems very confident Thomas will go early. I haven’t even watched tape of him at all.

I actually like R Mason-Thomas a good bit… but 12 is awfully rich for him.

At 20, I’d be fine with him if the defensive staff thinks he’d fit in the system. He’s damn good

R.Mason Thomas was a non factor against the Longhorn offensive line other than one sack.

I saw a mock today on IG that has Downs dropping to the 'Boys at 12. There were 4-5 offensive players selected before 12. Although I'd love it, I just can't see that happening

Plus, Prisco has been out of touch with drafts for a while now.

I can’t see Bain going 3rd overall either.

Thomas will be lucky to get drafted in the first round

I have no clue how anybody could have Thomas going at pick 12.

Bleacher Report compares him to Nik Bonitto , has a 4.67 40 . Hard pass .
The Nik Bonitto who's generated 27.5 sacks the last 2 seasons?
If he was likely to do that then yes.
But he's not, he looks to be an 8 sack ceiling and liability against the run while developing for the next 3 seasons!
But hell, I'll take the real Nik Bonitto and his 14 sacks!

That is one of those wiped out scenarios where the top players you would like have been taken.

I like Mason Thomas, just not at 12.
Pete may actually be correct in the idea that he will go higher than most think.

Would do everything to trade down a few spots even if you lost out by a few points.

A combo of Thieneman and Messidor, Howell and maybe Terrell even though I am not as high on Terrell as others. What worries me if we stick and pick is that there will not be a LB of value with those two picks. That is why a trade down would be optional as you can get value with getting one of many LBs at the end of the first but most likely in the second.
