He should get his chance to star for the Mean Machine soon.

Softest "all-time great" ever.

Great compliment. All this guy did was play football better than few could ever dream of playing and put up better stats than all but one of his peers.

I guess you can't please everyone...

Great career. He did everything he ever needed to do. There is no question he's one of the best WR's ever and he's punched himself a certain ticket to the Hall of Fame.

Harrison disappeared in the playoffs. That has to be considered in his total evaluation as a player and all time great.

It is one thing if his playoff numbers dipped a little from his regular season numbers. That is reasonable because he set such a high standard during the regular season, so it would be difficult to match that success. He did not come close. His playoff numbers fall way short of his regular season numbers. He scored a total of 2 TDs in post season play and both of those came in the same game, a wild card game against Denver.

The deeper the Colts got in the playoffs the worse Harrison's production got. Jerry Rice and Michael Irving got better in the playoffs for example.

Harrison is a hall of famer, but it does take better production in the playoffs to please everyone and do everything he needed to do.

Who is this "Michael Irving" you speak of?

I have never done that before. I guess my finger slipped because I am no Frank Gifford.

Mean Machine!!!

I still believe that the original movie is a whole lot better than the remake. How about that Burt Reynolds, though? :)

Didn't Marvin Harrison have something like 3 straight seasons with 100 catches?
