Peter King says he'd take Brock Purdy over Dak Prescott if he was starting a new team

I mean, they both faced good defenses in the exact same pressure situation and one of these QBs player better.

I know it's a small sample size, but considering the difference in experience, wouldn't you also think the same?

Interesting. I didn't know Peter King was a Cowboys fan.
He sure thinks like a guy who wants to see us win at a higher level.

While I'm not quite ready to go that far I can't really have a strong opposition to that opinion either. Purdy hasn't just taken the SF offense and kept it as is, it's gotten better since Jimmy G went down. The other side of the coin is sample size....A lot of QBs can look really good for short stretches. Give defense a full offseason to watch 10 games of tape on you and now the real test begins. I'm sure similar things were said about 2016 Dak, but year two was a much different situation.

King isn't wrong....but its a gamble as we still have a lot to learn about young Brock Purdy. I think a lot of people are looking at this kid as Brady 2.0. Maybe he is, but lets tap the breaks.

Did any of these teams with GM openings interview King?

However, if this is Prescott at 40M and Purdy with the last contract in his rookie class, who wouldn't if you had the SF D and run game.

BTW, I saw Purdy play in 6 games and he was a better passer in college than Prescott in those games without that stout D Miss St had.

If he comes with Shanahan and kittle and deebo I would too. Shanahan makes it work with whomever he has and would kill it with dak too.

Besides Mahomes, is there anyone on this list after this year that makes you go sign me up for that QB and that contract? Many of these QBs have fallen from their status this year.

I’d take Purdy over Dak even if you have to give him Dak’s contract. I’m done with Dak because he has thoroughly convinced me he will never be consistent enough to win 3-4 playoff games in a row. Time to move on.

Actually in theory - right now he is. He outplayed Dak Sunday...by quite a bit actually. Pretty sad really. We win that game with almost any QB not named Dak.

He did nothing on Sunday. Dak was trying to do things and screwed up the game in the process.
