Yeh. I generally like King, but he should stay away from player assessment.

I think King sees Dallas needs Defense, Looking at possible Dline and just throws in a guy he thinks is rated the highest at DT.

Doubt he put much time into thinking about this specific DT is probably better suited as a NT.

1. Phillips doesn't fit what Dallas does on defense.

2. Dallas really doesn't want to use a first on a 1-tech.

3. Dallas won't spend a high pick on someone who has questionable work ethic. Garrett doesn't want them and Marinelli demands 100% effort.

4. Dallas has been shying away from guys who have suffered from injuries and IMO would be particularly gun-shy about a back injury.

As a Sooners fan I'd be against the pick. He's boom or bust and there will just be better candidates at 27. He's an immense man with high upside though. So I can understand why some have him in the 1st round despite his inconsistency and back issues.

Oh, this would be extremely upsetting.

I truly do not understand the so-called experts. You need only look at who the Cowboys have scheduled for a visit to see the position's they are targeting high and NT/DT is not it...at least, not in the first round. In my mind, it is either a RB or a CB dependent on the best player of those two positions available.
