I think the reason the Giants are talking about extending Eli for two more seasons is that they don't like anything in this draft at QB beyond Murray, and they're not going to get him.

That, plus the fact they are idiots. Dallas fans should start a crowdfunding account to keep Eli in NY forever.

They have no better options, not to mention a superstar tailback that is going to lose his sense of humor very quickly if he's not at least getting yards.

The Saquon Barlkley situation is going to get contentious.

Our draft will be very underwhelming.

This is the first year in awhile i'm not really looking forward to it. I'll be glad when it's hear but there is no real excitement from me.
It's underwhelming becuz we have improved so much.

The best thing to me was the Cooper trade and coupled with that our pick we traded went from a potential Top 10 pick to 27th for Oakland.

Could not have been a better outcome for us.

Not to mention how he played.

So although it's doubtful the draft is going to set the team on fire..

That is the price of winning.

This FO has proven they know what they are doing.

Let's wait and see what happens before September.

We are not done getting ready to make our run at a SB.

Be patient.

I'd normally agree except Simmons is a Top 10 talent. I would not pass on him at 58 simply because you can't make a decision like that and turn down what could be dominant interior DL like a Fletcher Cox because you would have to let him rehab for part or all of that first season.
I have to agree, here. If we can take gambles on guys like Gregory (know one knew if he would ever get his personal life straight), or Jaylon Smith (there was no guarantee that he would ever even play again), then Simmons is a no brainer if he falls to us, IMHO.

What Do people see that will make Haskins drop, I personally would take him over Murray

Then again that’s why I am not affiliated with any teams

I agree and disagree. Underwhelming because they have no number 1 but I still think is important. Despite the garbage head coach this is a good roster that needs improvement at DT and S. Those are positions you can get quality players later in the draft. If they needed a QB and had no number 1 you can forget about the draft. DT and S they may grab some talent there past the first round.

Agree.

I would also take Daniel Jones, but only in the right system.

There is little doubt that this franchise takes chances with its 2nd picks.

They try to double down on an opportunity to grab a stud who has gone thru the cracks.

Just look at Jaylon Smith, Gregory and Connor Williams.

They have been guys that fell that were once highly rated and it's been mixed results except for Smith.

Williams still has a lot to prove to justify his pick and we will see. Having Beard back should help him a lot this season.

So I fully expect us to take another project at #2.

They already scored huge with Cooper as our #1 pick in the trade.

So they have to feel they are set more or less and can again roll dice on a big upside player if he is there.

We shall see but I much prefer where we are to being drafting in the top 15.

That means we sucked the year before.

Not what I want.

:D

There is a rehab project every year in the 2nd round and when you're a team that doesn't upgrade the roster in Free agency then using a 2nd rounder on a guy to sit a year is tough.

I wouldn't be opposed to this move because I don't like the status quo going into 2019 and expecting different results but in general if we're going to skip Free Agency then I would prefer healthy players.
The fact you think this team hasn’t upgraded in FA is laughable.

2-safety
3-defensive tackle
4-running back
4-tight end

maybe a linebacker, cornerback, and defensive end afterwards?
I'm guessing:
2-S
3-LT
4-CB
5-RB

Well, right now the Bears and the Boys know they got a 1st rounder in this draft that can play.

Ya know what the GM's and scouts tell King? Exactly what they want him to print. According to Parcells, pre-draft lying is not only acceptable but required and an art form.

The only thing I know at this point is that this will not go as I think it will. I do remember that draft when the mocks looked pretty good and were very close and then the draft happened and the OL came flying off the board and wrecked all of the mocks. Hell, if the draft went by the book, I wouldn't want to watch, I love those surprise picks that get the commentators all flustered.

But my favorite draft of all time was the one where they kept the camera on Manziel as he just kept dropping and Gruden just kept getting angrier with each pick and then it came to our pick and I have never concentrated so hard on reading lips as I did Goodell's as he started to announce the Cowboys pick. When he didn't say Manziel's name, I thought Gruden's head would explode because most of the people watching were expecting that to happen.

And as an aside, I must admit from the "Boys will be Boys" off the field and additional fodder that gives us on forums like this, I was a little disappointed. Manziel and the Metroplex, what a recipe for a disaster of epic proportions. Even his parents didn't want him in Dallas.

Sounds like you'd be better off not watching it so you'd spare yourself the boredom! Then again, maybe you'll be glad it's over with?
