I have noticed this before or at least I thought that's what I was seeing.

If you put pressure on him and he starts missing a few passes and things start going not as well as usual for him, he seems to get too frustrated and starts pressing and I think even second guesses himself.

I can see him unravel a bit and then the passes start to miss. He also tends to get more animated over center as well.

I think when all is less than perfect he comes a little unglued. JMO though and I don't watch that many Colts games.

What do you people think?

I think like any QB if you put pressure on them you force them into mistakes. Manning is outstanding and so in Brady but regardless of how good they are if you can generate some pressure and get in their face you can cause them to make mistakes.

Manning was frazzled.

I was telling anyone who'd listen how the game was going to play out. Take away the intermediate routes from him and he gets flustered having to dump down to TEs and RBs. Dallas won this game because they tackled well after the catch.

Actually, I'm sick of hearing his name!

Everyone thinks he's the best QB to walk the face of the freaking earth! He is good, but, he is not the QB that everyone and their mother thinks he is...

I think highly of him myself and consider him one of the best in the game which makes this win that much sweeter. We did it against 1 of the best QB's there is. Manning gets a lot of attention but I feel he deserves that attention and hope one day soon Romo will be getting the attention.

Everyone talks about how roughing him up doesnt work... they refer to wash game when he almost had his neck snapped off and then got up to beat them.... BUT... if you keep on getting after him he will rush throws, timing goes off and he starts thinking pass, pass, pass and then you are in!

I think that big hit Ware put on him early when Ware came in unblocked and blindsided him may have gotten in his head a little. Not only is Manning rarely sacked, he's rarely even touched... So that was probably a bit of a shock for him.

And the fact that he misread a defense and missed a protection might have bothered him as much as the actual physical contact.

Pure passer-wise he is one of the best.

Decision making = he can be outplayed, outcoached against. The blueprint has been out for years.

Smack his WR's around and he is human again

Thanks but no thanks. Hey I respect good players and think highly of him dating back to when he was at Tenn. There is no doubt though he is an outstanding QB and a very good leader for that team. It says a lot about our team to go out there and play them as we did.

Dallas pressured him and caused him problems but you can say that about any QB. As great as Montana was the Giants and Bears killed him in the playoffs because they caused problems all day long for him. No matter how good any QB is if you can put pressure on them you can force them into mistakes. We did that and I take pride in the fact we did it against a quality QB one of the best in today’s game.

Yes you get tell he was getting frustrated. He was complaining and a few times kicking himself for making bad mistakes.

Yeah there was some sentiment on the board leading up to the game that Payton will still beat you when you beat him up. I say your chances are better beating him up first and more.... and then some more

I think that he has trouble processing all his information when you add a pass rush to the equation. It's like what BP told the coaches during games with Romo. He tells them to only tell Romo 1-2 things that are IMPORTANT, and then leave him alone. BP said if you tell Romo too much, he will take it all in and try to process everything you're telling him. I think PM has the same "problem." I think the coaching staff has given Manning so much control over the offense play calling, and adjustments, that he can only process all that info when he's not facing a fierce pass rush. When you add the element of the pass rush, PM becomes overloaded and thinks too much. He then starts rushing his throws, and missing receivers. When this happens it creates a snowball effect, which causes him to press even more. It's simple, create a legitimate pass rush threat is the only way to beat Indy.

he'd be a much more effective QB with a coach that reeled him in and had a running game. pass, pass, pass, pass, pass doesn't work for long in the nfl. never has and never will.
