Peyton Manning

So we're only allowed to discuss "Elite" players here? Ok, my mistake. I guess I can't talk about the cowboys anymore then.

Hutch and Hambone aren't starting for anyone. And, like I said, none of those players were debated NEARLY as much as QC. Although Hutch was part of the QC debates for awhile. And if Hutch start there WILL be plenty of threads about him. Not as much as Carter, but again, Hutch wasn't debated NEARLY as much as Carter was.

You know what else is fascinating? The fact that YOU started the QC discussions in THIS thread, yet your acting like it's "all those Other people can't let QC go".

Again, why did YOU start the QC talk in this thread? This thread would of been perfectly fine if not for you. C'mon, Hos, quit acting like your innocent. You started the QC talk in this thread, and now your coming out with the "It's fascinating that so many cowboys fans still talk about QC" talk.
Elite QBs are far more interesting. Just an observation.

You think Dallas Clark will end up being a Pro Bowl TE in the AFC because of Manning? Wouldn't shock me. Maybe not this year.

That's a copout.

And don't you think you're exhaggerating JUST A BIT? The cowboys don't play today and QC was starting for the Jets. YOu had to KNOW there would be a lot of QC talk today. Don't act surprised.
I'm not at all surprised.

Of course I'm exaggerating. Took you long enough to figure that out. How angry did you get before you did?

Judas Priest. Lighten up. I have totally been being facetious.

I just find a discussion about a player shattering records more interesting. That's just me.

He's got to be the MVP this year. Different stratosphere.

If Dungy can add a couple of good defenders and turn that defense around like he always seems to do they will be a very good team. I always liked Dungy.

OT: Brett Favre looks good again today.

Did Peyton ever play for the Cowboys? No? OK then, there's your answer why no one is really talking about it.

Great, Peyton is having a monster year. I'll enjoy watching him choke in the first game of the playoffs like always.

Its a good thing Philly and Indy are in different conferences. If Peyton and McNabb were to ever meet in a meaningful playoff game, I think a black hole would form from all the choke-ness.

I already adressed this contention. Emmitt Smith, a truly great player here doesn't get the same play.

He didn't choke in the playoffs last year. He ran into a better team in New England. Belicheck plays him better than any HC I've seen.

I wonder if he'll ever get over that hurdle?

Wow why are people dogging Peyton, this is the NFL Zone were we get to talk about other things besides the cowboys who do not play today.

Peyton is having a unbelievable year, who at the QB position is playing better this year or even close.

I guarantee you Dallas Clark will NEVER be a ProBowl QB. ;)

Hos, after the recent crap that's happened in my life, I don't get upset with petty things such as disagreements with someone on the internet. Surprised? Yes. Angry? Not even close.

I don't find it as interesting. Especially since QBs have it easy, and now WRs are almost wearing the same Skirt QBs are wearing. Can't touch them in coverage, and can't knock the hell out of them after they catch it.

If/when he breaks the record there should be a big fat asterick right next to his name in the record book. I like seeing records broken, but not when it's largely due to the rules being "tweaked" to help out QBs/WRs/Offenses in general.

I agree, but I still will never call him the best ever. The game is WAY too easy to QBs nowadays. Tagliabue is tarnishing records by making too easy to break them. Just wait till some lesser WR comes in and breaks all or Jerry Rice's records. Rice was great cuz he overcame, nowadays you see a lot of "Great" WRs cuz DBs can't breath on them, yet they're allowed to push off 99% of the time. It's ridiculous.

Good, he's on my fantasy team.

I've never understood that either. The kid amazes me. I'd love to see a QB in Dallas do what he can do.

If anyone has been behind you with your recent struggles around here I would hope it has been me.

Dallas Clark benefits form the QB he plays with. Numbers talk to people. BTW, he's a TE not a QB. (Just pulling your leg here.)

I haven't called Manning the best ever. Just the best right now. It's still about Titles in my mind. I do think he gives the Colts a chance at one just by his mere presence.

I don't like the new rules either.

Yeah I know. I just said that cuz you asked "you think Dallas Clark will be a probowl QB cuz of Manning?".

Edited that post.
