PFF: Eight of the biggest sleepers in 2021 draft

Defining a “sleeper” at this point in the draft process is always a chore. Is it just small school guys? Is it players who aren’t in first-round mocks? What if they went to a Division III school yet made a huge name for themselves at the Senior Bowl? Everyone will have different answers to those questions.

So, to make things easy, the “sleepers” listed for the 2021 NFL Draft are purely my opinion. None of the prospects below have been in a first- or second-round mock that I’ve seen and have not been oft-discussed in draft circles. Let’s get to i

Good list.

Couple thoughts.

Tommy Tremble is an amazing football name.

We should absolutely draft a QB later in the draft.

Perkins is one of those guys I take in every mock draft simulator. I hope we spend a relatively good pick on a backup for Gregory, for obvious reasons.

They certainly hit on the safeties, notice each one plays the single high. After Moehrig, Grant, Washington, I only see Cisco be able to effectively play that position in our cover 3 scheme. Washington is the interesting one, where the team would have to be creative protecting him in certain match-ups.

Tay Gowan I do like

 

[Sydla]

Tremble is an interesting cat. He loves blocking and he's pretty athletic. Might be worth a late round flier if he's there. Focus appears to be a problem at times. He did disappear some games as a pass catching target (but again, with Mayer there and he didn't have elite QB play from Book).

Would not mind Little in the 3rd with our projected comp pick.
