I take these with a grain of salt but here are some positives.

https://www.profootballfocus.com/news/pro-nfl-offensive-line-rankings-after-week-2

-Cowboys are back towards the top at #4
-Giants are #23 (how is it possible there are teams worse?!)
-Carolina is #27
-Seattle is #29
-Houston is #31
-Detroit is #22

Obviously the good news is our O line seems to be improving and we are or have been playing some of the worst O lines in the game as I expected. The bad news, we have been playing some of the worst O lines in the game as I expected. We better take full advantage of this cake walk schedule for the next 3 weeks because as of now we have only played and will only play the bottom 10 O lines in the league before the schedule picks up. Heck, even the Titans are #24!

I understand it’s PFF and it will change weekly but right now we are sitting in the cat birds seat.

Sure doesn't feel like a #4 kind of line, you know? They haven't been horrible but Tyron, La'El and Connor Williams have all struggled pretty bad at points.

On the plus side though, replacing Frederick with Looney has actually gone pretty well. I'm surprised his grade ended up that low.

Does not compute.

I don't see how that can square that with the other thread with PFF scores for the whole team. OL line scores were ridiculously low.

OT - Smith (#25 OT)
OG - Williams (#24 OG)
C - Looney (#27 C)
OG - Martin (#13 OG)
OT - Collins (#55 OT)
Don’t kill the messenger, as I said, I take those with a grain of salt but I am excited that allegedly Seattle and Houston are even more inferior to the Giants.

It's hilarious to me that we're still collectively pretending that the Giants OL is SO abysmal. Didn't they just make Solder the highest-paid OL in NFL history?

I saw many snaps Sunday night in which Eli had plenty of time to throw. He either stared at the rush or checked it down nearly every single time. He is TERRIBLE and the #1 reason the Giants offense is as bad as it is. Like a 2006 Drew Bledsoe.

It is abysmal, whether due to coaching and/or lack of skill, they suck. Who cares that they paid an average to slightly above average LT that much money? They will regret that for a few years and it speaks more to the stupidity of their GM then it does their skill level. They have one of the worst RG’s in the game, one of the worst RT’s in th game and they traded their starting center from last year to Minn just a few week ago (who’s already their starting center) and the Gnats also happened to lose their starting center against us for the rest of the season. Lol, I’d easily argue they are a downgrade from last year.

I also recently read they lead the league in point of contact against RB’s by defenders. Meaning, don’t qoute me on this but I believe the average is something like 1.8 yards before first point of contact. The Gnats avg .8 yards. That’s atrocious. I also watched their game against Jacksonville and Barkley was hit something like 11 out 15 carries behind the line of scrimmage.

And yes, Eli sucks as well, no denying that but they can’t even come close to establishing the run (good thing they drafted a RB instead of a QB, haha).

Their line was horrible, in my times of watching Cowboys games 25ish years I have never felt like we have destroyed the other team's will such as this. I was not shocked to see 6 sacks, how many times have we got that in the last ten years, my guess is under is 5.

Keep in mind the small sample size. Two games. None of these rankings should happen until October at the earliest.
Two games or not these rankings are a gigantic joke. If our O line is #4 there are some terrible O lines in the NFL. Individually the only O lineman we have playing above average is Martin, right now. Our O line improved vs Giants, but they still need to get much better. PFF is a serious joke!!!!!

LOL then you've missed a lot of Cowboys football over the last 25 years.

Eli was staring at the rush like a total wimp and took at least 3 sacks that were totally unnecessary; as in, a good QB wouldn't have taken them.

But Eli isn't a good QB. He's an immobile QB who can't make plays and who's playing scared. His team hasn't scored 30+ in a game since 2015. That is a JOKE.

The Giants current OL isn't good but it's not this utter abomination that you (and many others) are making it out to be. The PFF grades reflect that as well.

Tony Romo played with a terrible OL for YEARS. He still put up great numbers, lit up the scoreboard and gave his team a chance nearly every week.

Why can't Eli??? Because he's garbage.

Ok how many times over the past 25 years did we have 6 sacks? Should just be at the tip of your tongue with statements like this. Eli is mediocre, saying he's garbage is just complete stupidity. Some of the best qbs in the NFL have been fairly immobile, why are we attacking such a small % of what makes or doesn't make the position. Accuracy and decision making should be the two most important attributes for the position, if I want a running back I hand the damn ball off.

Eli's immobile, inaccurate and a terrible decision-maker. That's why his team is awful and he can't get the ball into the end zone.

LOL you have so much to learn.

Agree Bob but man the Seahawks and Giants lines are putrid. You can smell that stink from a mile away.

The ONLY thing that I can think of that would cause this is that maybe PFF is adjusting for quality of opposing defensive lineman and how well the o linemen held up?

Doesn’t make sense to me tbh but we have to keep in mind that the NFL has a massive o linemen problem right now

That is the best part. It's not their best yet but still good. Of course if Dak gets the ball out quicker to the open guy, it helps alot.

Which terrible o line was that. The one with 3 pro bowlers on it? In 2010 the year before we drafted Tyron the line sucked but romo wasn't behind that line because he missed 10 out of the 16 games. Please can we stop with this bull**** narrative to prop up Romo. I'm sick of coming around and crushing dreams. Also his sack % was pretty consistent throughout the years even in 2013 and 2014 with the Oline you see now.
