PFF Grades from Charges game

This just in. Azur Kamara played better than CeeDee Lamb.

PFF nailed it. Those were clearly our 5 most dominant players.

People forget that PFF is grading every player on play. They don't weight a game winning pass deflection more than one occuring on the games first play. So, fans get all bent out of shape b/c they don't understand the grade. We remember the great plays and don't notice the fails.

I'd like to see the grade for SD DL that got whooped by Zach Martin all game. Thats the highest grade i've seen for a guard in a loooong time.

I'm not going to pretend I understand it, but I like to look at it for entertainment purposes (and also to use when it fits a point I'm trying to make :))

Their Diggs rating is bizarre to me. He gets a crap grade but they admit he held Herbert to a QB rating of only 70.

They overthink their analysis, IMO.

From what I've noticed before, a missed tackle is heavily weighted.

Not to nit pick but Jaylon got credit for that pass Justin Herbert threw behind the receiver? I guess he was the closest Cowboy.

appreciate what they "try" to do but at the end of the day they are just assigning "their" values to aspects of play. 10 people could do that and come up with 10 completely different grades.
also, some things just aren't always gradable. did the defender cause the incomplete pass or did the QB just miss? sometimes, there just isn't anyway to know without being in the QB's brain.
