You mean to tell me, Miles Sanders blocking grade is 26 ... but Blue isn't able to get snaps?

A lot of bright spots from acquisitions. Thomas, Williams, Houston and Pickens.

Time to let guys like Juanyeh Thomas or Bell to get some of Wilson's snaps.

thanks for the breakdown - I like reading these

Just to sort the data differently, here is a list of all players receiving an overall grade of 70 or above (11 of 22):

1. KaVontae Turpin (WR/KR) - 90.4 (14 snaps)

2. Brevyn Spann-Ford (TE) - 89.1 (11 snaps) - 86.6 run blocking grade

3. James Houston (LB) - 82.0 (15 snaps) - 76.4 pass rush grade

4. Solomon Thomas (DT) - 81.5 (28 snaps) - 82.2 run defense grade, 59.1 pass rush grade

5. Dak Prescott (QB) - 81.4 (89 snaps)

6. Kenny Clark (DT) - 79.0 (46 snaps) - 72.1 run defense grade, 71.0 pass rush grade

7. George Pickens (WR) - 75.4 (79 snaps)

8. Osa Odighizuwa (DT) - 75.0 (40 snaps) - 62.1 run defense grade, 74.1 pass rush grade

9. Reddy Steward (CB) - 73.6 (47 snaps) - 72.3 run defense grade, 74.1 coverage grade

10. Dante Fowler (DE) - 73.4 (28 snaps) - 66.9 run defense grade, 67.2 pass rush grade

11. Donovan Ezeiruaku (DE) - 73.2 (26 snaps) - 59.7 run defense grade, 74.4 pass rush grade

I don't want to overreact, but the interior OL that looked really good against Philly looked equally as bad against the Giants. I know the strength of the Giatns is their DL, but Tyler Smith especially has to play better than this.

OFFENSE
KaVontae Turpin - 90.4 (14 snaps)
Brevyn Spann-Ford - 89.1 (11 snaps) - 86.6 run blocking grade --- should get all of Luke's snaps as the number 2 TE
Dak Prescott - 81.4 (89 snaps)
George Pickens - 75.4 (79 snaps)
Javontae Williams - 68.3 (64 snaps) - 86.1 pass blocking grade - so far, he has been a very good addition
CeeDee Lamb - 67.9 (82 snaps)
Miles Sanders - 67.7 (20 snaps) - 26.2 pass blocking grade --- can Blue really be worst pass blocking lol I kid
Brock Hoffman - 59.8 (16 snaps)
Jalen Tolbert - 58.5 (58 snaps) - not quite sure what he brings to the table. Everything screams mid with him.
Ryan Flournoy - 57.3 (11 snaps) - should be getting Tolbert's snaps
Jake Ferguson - 55.9 (65 snaps) - 35.2 run blocking grade --- Terrible blocking TE. I mean can he at least try?
Tyler Smith
- 54.0 (89 snaps) - 58.7 pass blocking grade, 50.1 run blocking grade
Tyler Booker - 53.1 (89 snaps) - 34.2 pass blocking grade, 60.4 run blocking grade - struggled with twists
Terence Steele - 52.5 (89 snaps) - 59.3 pass blocking grade, 43.5 run blocking grade - feels like those numbers should be much worse, especially the pass blocking grade. He was awful.
Hunter Luepke - 46.3 (14 snaps) - 25.8 run blocking grade - not good for a FB --- Great signing Jerry
Luke Schoonmaker - 44.6 (26 snaps) - 44.6 run blocking grade ---- waste of a second rounder
Cooper Beebe
- 42.0 (73 snaps) - 20.5 pass blocking grade, 52.7 run blocking grade - woof. And an injury to boot.
Tyler Guyton - 39.6 (89 snaps) - 37.2 pass blocking grade, 46.1 run blocking grade. Frankly, expected even worse. Guyton was a technical mess out there. Like Torrin Tucker/Rob Pettiti level bad.

DEFENSE
James Houston - 82.0 (15 snaps) - 76.4 pass rush grade --- Love the signing
Solomon Thomas - 81.5 (28 snaps) - 82.2 run defense grade, 59.1 pass rush grade --- Love the signing. Low cost.
Kenny Clark - 79.0 (46 snaps) - 72.1 run defense grade, 71.0 pass rush grade -- Nice signing to clean up the DT play
Osa Odighizuwa - 75.0 (40 snaps) - 62.1 run defense grade, 74.1 pass rush grade --- Good pass rushing DT
Reddy Steward - 73.6 (47 snaps) - 72.3 run defense grade, 74.1 coverage grade --- A pleasant surprise. Or maybe because Diggs and Elam was so easily cooked that they didn't even need to look the 3rd option way.
Dante Fowler - 73.4 (28 snaps) - 66.9 run defense grade, 67.2 pass rush grade
Donovan Ezeiruaku - 73.2 (26 snaps) - 59.7 run defense grade, 74.4 pass rush grade

Kaiir Elam - 59.4 (67 snaps) - 81.1 tackling grade, 58.2 coverage grade. He has a vision/instincts problem. He's very slow to react. --- Yes very very very slow to react. Almost like he is a strong safety in coverage.
Sam Williams - 57.3 (41 snaps) - 59.7 run defense grade, 69.9 tackling grade, 54.8 pass rush grade --- Yeah you are not even close to Micah Parsons, Williams first step is too slow.
Jack Sanborn - 51.7 (56 snaps) - 37.4 run defense grade, 41.9 tackling grade, 64.3 coverage grade
Malik Hooker - 49.2 (66 snaps) - 83.7 tackling grade, 48.8 coverage grade
Jay Toia - 47.3 (19 snaps) - 49.8 run defense grade
Trevon Diggs - 42.4 (61 snaps) - 77.3 tackling grade, 38.6 coverage grade - the knee injuries have sapped his explosiveness --- Wow his tackling grade surprised me, coverage grade seems to be what I seen on the field, YUCK.
Marshawn Kneeland - 41.9 (27 snaps) - 28.1 run defense grade, 76.9 pass rush grade
Damone Clark - 34.5 (20 snaps) - 65.0 run defense grade, 37.2 tackling grade, 31.7 coverage grade. They really miss Overshown ---------Clark is just yuck
Donovan Wilson - 33.1 (67 snaps) - 43.7 run defense grade, 52.5 tackling grade, 38.9 coverage grade. Even an interception can't fix how bad he was in coverage and support in this game. --- needs to be replaced by Thomas, too slow and out of place
Looking at the oline grades makes you appreciate Dak even more, I mean geezus. Despite bad blocking and no defense he was able to push us to beat the Giants. The Giants defensive line is very underrated. They have dawgs on that dline. Burns, Carter, Lawrence and Kayvon Thibodeaux. That is a lot of high first rounder on the defensive line. We really need Tyler Smith to play up to that contract against the best DT's in the business. He was part of the terrible oline play. Tyler Guyton is a revolving door at LT (even vs the Eagles). He needs to play a lot better so we don't have to constantly chip him and Steele's guy with a TE before they get out in routes.

And on defense our DT's might have played the best we've seen our DT's play in a while with Solomon Thomas playing great vs the run and Kenny Clark and Osa playing good vs the pass. Jack Sanborn and Damone clark needs to be replaced asap. And we have to get wayyyyy better coverage from our safties just terrible. It's like i've said before, we have 2 old school run strong support safeties playing the deep field which both of our safeties struggle at. I don't see them getting better because they've always struggled in that department. And Diggs was yuck but I wonder if that is due to having underneath coverage while the safety had over the top coverage. Our safeties were terrible and offered no help. Donovan shouldn't be a captain with how bad he is on defense. No way someone can lead a unit if he is one of the worst players on the unit. Doubt we have the stones to bench him. I was fully expecting him to be a cap casualty this offseason. But he has stuck around somehow. Hopefully he isn't resigned after this year.

Oh and free Turp (if his neck injury is ok). We need him to get all of Tolberts snaps on offense.

11. Donovan Ezeiruaku (DE) - 73.2 (26 snaps) - 59.7 run defense grade, 74.4 pass rush grade
Interestingly, 8 of the top 11 were not on this team last year

Not making excuses for the o-line at all, but the Giants have built an all-star defensive front. You have to concede that when they put Carter, Burns, Thibedeax, and Lawrence out there at once they are going to make some plays.

Damn these grades seem to good to be from
This team lol.

Good news is that our interior is playing well. Bad news is everyone else is bad now lol.

Reallly intrigued to see what Murray and Solomon did. Much better showings.
