The Cowboys are 2-2 against the Eagles in the last two seasons. Lemme guess.. The Eagles were only a good team when they beat the Cowboys and they switched jerseys into a bad team when the Cowboys beat them. Why is this so hard? You go by the current records, so it can change as the season evolves.
That's the way the broadcasts do it. That's the way the media does it. That's the way they've always done it.
It's not perfect, but it's the only way that makes sense. Otherwise, you're counting the ding-dong Jets.
The Cowboys have been bad for years against top teams. That's undeniable, and that's all that matters.
The Cowboys beat the Bengals, the Giants (twice) and the Vikings last season. The Bengals were 12-4 and lost in the AFC Championship game last season. Wait.. don't tell me, the Bengals weren't a good team when the Cowboys beat them either.. They only got good AFTER that game. So just last season the Cowboys went 2-1 against teams that were in the final 4 and one that was in the Super Bowl. 2-2 if you count the playoff game at the 49ers. .500 against final 4 teams is bad? On what planet? We don't know who the final 4 are for this season yet.
But I get it.. the only games that "matter".. are the ones the Cowboys lose..
