PFF post mortem - KC

Not just that very little separation by Brown and Wilson failure to beat one on one coverage.
they got open plenty they either dropped the pass or dak threw a bad one all game thats the theme when dak had time he missed guys or the wrs dropped them..was bad offeneive game..period not just the OL..

If you don't like PFF, just do us all a solid and skip the thread. We know its not a perfect grading system. No need to chime in and act like you just discovered a flaw.

Since there was such a disparity between the play of the offense and the play of the defense, i'm going to post the bottom 5 offense scores and the top defensive scores.

Bottom 5 offense:

1. Noah Brown 39.9
2. Cedric Wilson 44.9
3. Steele. 57.7
4. Collins 62.2
5. McGovern 62.8

Top 5 defense

1. Parsons. 90.7
2. Kearse. 80.2
3. Kazee. 74.9
4. Wilson. 74.7
5. Basham 65.0

About what I would expect for any grading system on the KC/Dallas game:

- Defense at the top
- WRs and OL at the bottom
- QBs, RBs, TEs somewhere in the middle

Rogers was throwing to scrubs and getting a win. So, there's that. Course , that's Rogers, and Dak isn't close to Rogers.
That's correct. Not sure who would argue against that.

Maybe that's the issue with some around here....they expect him to be Rodgers because of his paycheck.

But....thats not how paychecks work.

That's a bad recipe as well. Bottom 5 grades were bad enough but its almost as bad that your top Offensive player is sub-80 and 2 of the top 5 offensive players are below 70.

This is how you have to look at the grades. 60-69 is mediocre. You are not good, but you didn't hurt the team with your overall performance either. 70-79 is a good game. 80-89 is a pro bowl level performance, 90-100 is a HOF level performance. Anything under 60 means you were a detriment to the team. The further below 60 , the more harm you did.

PFF data here matches what we all saw.

KC pressured us like crazy every play and the WRs couldn't win quick nor catch the ball when they did.
KC defense just controlled us. Our OL was beat at both tackles and inside so there was no where for Dak to move to.
Meant his throws were hurried and lacked accuracy.

Our defense did a solid enough job as a shell type defense to limit points but KC got yards on whim.
Was just not our day.

The decision to move Steele to the left side is looking pretty bad so far. I am a little surprised Biadasz isn't in the bottom 5 but I bet he is close.

We know Wilson can play better. He had a bad day. I don't know that Brown is any better than his grade implies. If CeeDee is out Thursday the Cowboys are in trouble offensively.
I’m concerned about Thursday. Short week after an ish performance and we will still be depleted at key positions has me biting my nails just a little.

You do understand that says more about the receiver than the QB. Rodger's has nothing to do with them catching the ball, just ask Giselle.

I blame crowd noise for the Oline woes....

It's the argument that is happening here. And, yes I do know that. I am still a Dak fan. Love the guy. But, he isn't in Rodger's league yet. Can he get there ? Who knows. Some QBs make other players look better.

How? Not trying to be argumentative.

their scrubs weren't horrific and his line protected him. easy peasy. also cardinals win that game if aj green doesnt run block on the game winning pass attempt

Still, it's the same deal. One QB and WR's made plays, Dak and Co. didn't. Rodgers is still better than Dak.

It's been stated time and time again in here that Dak needs all weapons. Yes, he does. It's been stated he doesn't make others looks better , i.e, nameless Wr's, because Dak isn't an elite QB. Some argue that isn't the case. I am in the party that thinks he isn't there yet either. He can't do what Brady and Rodgers have done with less talent around him. Not now, maybe never. I am hoping Dak can. But it's just not now.

Well that confirms what I’ve been saying for the last few days. Tyron smith, CeeDee lamb, Amari Cooper, Osa, Randy Gregory, and DLaw would’ve certainly helped; to say the least.
