PFF QB Ranking - Dak 17

This is about right ........but I think he could finish the season closer to the top 10

17. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott remains the epitome of a quarterback who thrives against weaker opponents but falters when the competition stiffens. He earned a 90.0 PFF grade in 2023 — behind only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes — before a late-season collapse ended his MVP bid. In 2024, the Cowboys stumbled early, and a season-ending injury sidelined Prescott before he could rebound. To rejoin the top-10 conversation, he must recapture that 2023 form and prove he can deliver against the league’s best.

I can't believe Geno smith is that high....he is nothing special and he is older.

I can't believe Stroud is that low, below Mayfield!? makes no sense.

why is mayfield that high? he is on his 4th team.....

Murray ahead of Dak? not a Dak Lover, but Murray doesn't belong in top 15
Perhaps it has more to do with how they play than just the narrative around them

Dak is better than this, when he plays at his best. Injuries and age are definitely catching up to him. This is probably his last chance to put it back together....if that happens I think he'll have the chance to get over his big game hunt, next year. This year will be a year of growth for the entire team. I feel good moving forward, whether Dak comes along, hinges on his play, this season.

This^^^^^^

Based on what? Plays great against horrible teams and disappears against the good ones - where is this "better" you keep harping about?
He's put up some great regular seasons, that's where i get it from. I talked about him getting over the big game hump...
Even you haters aren't stupid enough to say he doesn't play great in the regular season. Or, maybe YOU are.

This is because all the rankings that you're reading all the strength of schedules you're reading all these ridiculous preseason rankings come from last year's results and none of them were good and it's not a surprise that he's ranked 17 he should be ranked in the top 10. His entire career but who cares about rankings it'll just motivate him to do better I guess for everyone there's not gonna be a lot of our players ranked in the top 100 of the list that's voted on by players they always seemingly not people off the list that didn't do well or that got injured and out for the season of the year before why is this a big deal to you all...

Harsh but he’s definitely not top 10. I’d put him around 12….but if he sucks this season I may drop him out of the top 20.
Actually I disagree he's top 10 when he rolls out of bed in this nfl in today's nfl he's only ranked like this because he didn't finish the season last year and it was a terrible season for the cowboy so of course the rankings the strength of schedule everybody's list are going to have most of the Cowboys lower than they should be it's a natural reaction

You can have them at 12 all you want he's still top 10 and he'll have a top five moment as he has more than one time in his career but hey be overly critical it's in your name.. You're chronically negative.
.
It's okay you're entitled to your opinion but I guarantee most people that off the top of their head not using any negativity not using playoff lack of success you ask the professionals around the league including the players and you ask them where does Prescott rank they don't have to think about it top 10 no need to start putting out names he's top 10...

Agree that Geno is too high and Daniels will slip to Stroud level IF he regresses in his sophomore year.

As to Dakota, I have no problem with his ranking if he can just do what Flacco and Eli did......have average to above average regular seasons but turn the dial up in the playoffs.

Providing we even sniff the playoffs....of course it should be easy since the resident homers keep telling us what a GREAT offseason Jerry and Stephen have provided.

Hard to disagree too much. Personally I think you can lump in the 3A and 3B categories together and make them pretty much any order you want. All those guys from 9-18(and you can probably lump in most of tier 2 as well) I'd argue are pretty similar and going to be dependent upon how good the supporting casts are. Then you have the next group of young guys who may fall anywhere on those rankings by the end of this season...

Its a weird time in the NFL where the elite QBs are still at a premium but those 2nd/3rd tier guys can be found easier than ever if you have a quality team overall. There are probably more teams optimistic about their QB situation going into 2025 than I can ever remember.

You lost me..........2023 form was a near-ALL-PRO year. Please don't say 2023 playoffs coz that's NOT referenced in the statement.
A thread can't be posted without haters turning it into dog crap. They have their Dak hate goggles on.....I wear my positive goggles, but at least I admit it, and those that don't like it, can kiss my behind!!
