PFF QB Ranking - Dak 17

What makes it worth is I think getting paid so much has made Dak play even worse because he feels the pressure of being the highest paid QB and we all know Dak does not play well under pressure.

It's one thing to want the highest paid contract.........its a another to prove you deserve it. That it the pressure I think he's feeling and frankly, I think it started last season. I'm not convinced it didn't play some role in his sluggish start last season.

A fair ranking.

Would be higher if he could muster some wins against quality opponents
No he would not.

Read what PFF writes about him. In the first two sentences they explain his problem and how they do not include opposing strengths into their ratings.

Thats why they ranked him that high in 2023. They dont care that he plays good only against high school defenses. They just take the stats and compare them to other QBs.

That's 100 percent horse hockey, it's hooey ,

I have proof, Ready,

2020 he bet on himself, played on the franchise tag, snapped his ankle off ,and guess what he got paid anyway.. he was one of the highest paid quarterbacks at the time, one of the higher guaranteed monies on that contract, it's very eerily familiar to 2024 isn't it??

major injury ,people doubted him, got a big new contract ,; what was the result? 37 touchdowns 10 interceptions, MIC drop ,you're very wrong but keep on hating cause haters just are looking at themselves in the mirror...

That big green monster the envy the jealousy that you can't do it that you don't even have the money to own a team and pay that kind of money to a player , that's also the hate towards Jerry you're jealous he owns the very team that you'll never ever have ownership in ,you're not allowed in their club, you're not allowed in their league...

And a caveat to that is,

I think Jerry was ridiculous for handing the guy that big of money expecting the market to go that way,

I think it should have been around 56 million max, they should have stood Pat at that, and I pretty sure Prescott would have probably signed it, I think Jerry just bid against himself.

However, Prescott still worth being paid 55 to $56 million that is a, and he would have got it elsewhere, as that's the market..

he is a top ten quarterback not 17 , SEVENTEEN'S just a ranking from what happened last year, that doesn't mean that's how the rest of the league views him, that's just an outside source giving an opinion a ranking is just an extension of an opinion,

it means nothing unless you want to use it as a narrative in which most of you haters do...

A thread can't be posted without haters turning it into dog crap. They have their Dak hate goggles on.....I wear my positive goggles, but at least I admit it, and those that don't like it, can kiss my behind!!
The only guy who is a hater is you.

You are the one who is trying hard to divide us. Into haters and the rest (the good folks like you want to see them).
You are the one who always comes up with your black/white crap about people.

Thats were the real hate comes from. From people who try to divide others. From people like you who shout out loud "hater" just to provoke the masses with their simpleminded view of the world.

Not putting Geno, Baker, Lawrence, murray or stroud over him so he'd be 12 on my list. But I can see as high as 9 or as low as 14.

Dak is better than this, when he plays at his best. Injuries and age are definitely catching up to him. This is probably his last chance to put it back together....if that happens I think he'll have the chance to get over his big game hunt, next year. This year will be a year of growth for the entire team. I feel good moving forward, whether Dak comes along, hinges on his play, this season.
Dak is at his best when the supporting pieces around him are at their best. Clearly, last year was a write-off in both regards due to injury (again), as well as Jerry not helping matters. Jerry has done his best AGAIN to put the pieces together, so it's on the QB.......will things be different? As CTOWN whoever says, I am a WFT fan so I hope he fails :grin:

Really? That's fairly high.
Last year we had a difficult schedule and the results are in.

This is about right ........but I think he could finish the season closer to the top 10

17. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott remains the epitome of a quarterback who thrives against weaker opponents but falters when the competition stiffens. He earned a 90.0 PFF grade in 2023 — behind only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes — before a late-season collapse ended his MVP bid. In 2024, the Cowboys stumbled early, and a season-ending injury sidelined Prescott before he could rebound. To rejoin the top-10 conversation, he must recapture that 2023 form and prove he can deliver against the league’s best.
The perfect description of Dak Prescott.
And to all who make the ridiculous claim that he was "runner up MVP", now you have the real story!
Like his entire career, college and professional, DAK LOOKS GOOD VS WEAK TEAMS, BUT FOLDS WHEN THE PRESSURE IS ON!

It doesn't make him a bad guy; he's just not a leader. Kudos to him for playing and making an effort, but he will never be a NFL caliber quarterback.
He's not the first to fool the scouts, just the highest paid.
Before him it was Ryan Fitzpatrick who was the highest paid pretender.

So much for NFL talent evaluation.

He's put up some great regular seasons, that's where i get it from. I talked about him getting over the big game hump...
Even you haters aren't stupid enough to say he doesn't play great in the regular season. Or, maybe YOU are.
He play great during the regular season because he plays against weak team. You know that.

thank you lee, i can tell you love this team and the lack of real success bothers you immensely

You lost me..........2023 form was a near-ALL-PRO year. Please don't say 2023 playoffs coz that's NOT referenced in the statement.
A lot of you Dak fans just love to go back two or three, four years ago to try and justify the play of Dak. Life does not go backwards.

It's the lack of professional integrity that killed this franchise.
Losing while doing it right- that's acceptable.
But what this franchise has become is unacceptable.

He doesn't talk about that to media. Whatever his agent does, he probably doesn't need too. Jerry saw it with his own eyes.
And, you aren't haterish, you're full blown.
LOL, so he doesn't talk about that to the media but simply used it as a means to engineer a contract that he himself knows he won't be able to live up to while at the same time claiming to be a team leader.
