PFF QB Ranking - Dak 17

Hard to disagree too much. Personally I think you can lump in the 3A and 3B categories together and make them pretty much any order you want. All those guys from 9-18(and you can probably lump in most of tier 2 as well) I'd argue are pretty similar and going to be dependent upon how good the supporting casts are. Then you have the next group of young guys who may fall anywhere on those rankings by the end of this season...

Its a weird time in the NFL where the elite QBs are still at a premium but those 2nd/3rd tier guys can be found easier than ever if you have a quality team overall. There are probably more teams optimistic about their QB situation going into 2025 than I can ever remember.
yeah, we picked the absolute worst time ever to hand out the highest contract in league history with so many serviceable / similar guys being had for pennies on the dollar and having career resurgences. Not to mention several new contracts being inked below his new bar.

Im retired...I take care of my real estate holdings from home. And, the two companies that I am part owner in, send me royalties. Other than my dad, I don't have anything better to do, most days. I'll be off for a few hours. My wife and i are taking my 90 year old dad for lunch on South Padre Island.
Don't talk behind my back, you ignorant hater! Lol! Salud, GTB.....you're one of the good ones. Give mountain some lessons
OK, so you admit that the cowboys are your main interest in life?

not saying that is a bad thing; but I am retired as well and I spend maybe at most an hour a day here.

You just answered it G.......... criteria for the rankings are the regular season. The post I responded to referenced Dak regular AND postseason stats/record/performance.
and like I said, postseason was the loud noise in the theater

Not surprising he was horrible last year and then got hurt. What would surprise me would be if they had him as low as #17 going into next year. I don't recall, but I bet he wasn't that low going into 2024 coming off of his good 2023 season.

Seems about right. You could make the case he could be a few slots higher but reality is he's a limited QB who needs help around him.
Which is everyone on that list. Lamar, Burrow and Allen ar consensus top 5 guys and have won nothing. Where does it come from that guys win despite not having help?

And let’s also be honest…..some of these Cowboys team get credit for talent because they have a star on their helmet.

it's the reality, Dak-ancer has never been a top 10, there's a big difference between Dak-ancer being good and reflecting being a top 10, and the other QBs having a bad season and that's why Dak-ance rises in the rankings, I think this is the decisive year for Dak-ancer, if this year he doesn't exceed expectations, he will have already reached his limit and there's nothing more to wait for, there are young QBs who are just starting like Caleb, Bonix, Penix Jr, JJ McCarthy, Maye, who can take off and still send Dak-ancer further down, this should be the all or nothing season for Dak-ancer.

The only guy who is a hater is you.

You are the one who is trying hard to divide us. Into haters and the rest (the good folks like you want to see them).
You are the one who always comes up with your black/white crap about people.

Thats were the real hate comes from. From people who try to divide others. From people like you who shout out loud "hater" just to provoke the masses with their simpleminded view of the world.
I hate idiots... sorry.

Dak is at his best when the supporting pieces around him are at their best. Clearly, last year was a write-off in both regards due to injury (again), as well as Jerry not helping matters. Jerry has done his best AGAIN to put the pieces together, so it's on the QB.......will things be different? As CTOWN whoever says, I am a WFT fan so I hope he fails :grin:
I agreed with everything until you said, I hope he fails. If he fails, so does the team....so, to be clear...if we won the SB and he played well, you'd be pissed off?

He play great during the regular season because he plays against weak team. You know that.
I don't know that. I said that, in so many words. Most didn't read the whole post or just don't comprehend anything with a little positivity

I log on, in front of the TV, when I'm looking at my cows etc. 5 bad discs in my back, torn rotator cuff and waiting on both knees to be replaced gives me a lot of time to screw with the haters. They're too easily riled up.....better than watching Fluffy on Netflix.

No one is going to contest Jalen Hurts listed at #5?

On X his placement on the list is getting more responses than any other QB with the exception of maybe Josh Allen. Even Eagles fans are admitting he is too high. Most fans think his team carried him to the Super Bowl rather than the other way around.
In the end all quarterbacks are judged by the same standard. That is, this is our next opponent, here is our game plan, these are the 22 or 23 guys available to play offense with you, except for the center, and he’s only going to give it to you, no three players combined will touch the ball as many times as you, win the game.

Passing yards, touchdown to interception ratio, completion percentage, are all statistics that are most meaningful to quarterbacks that did not quarterback the Super Bowl winning team. That is why Brady is the “goat” and Mahomes is going to be.

Hurts, now paid less than ten NFL QB1s, is a tremendous value. He isn’t Brady or Mahomes. Either is Allen, Jackson, and Burrow. While he’s not being the “goat”, at least Hurts plays and wins the Super Bowl.

I’m asking for your permission to be a Jerry and Dak hater and still be a fan….please, Mr. Homer.
LOL,
This is so funny for me because I was an equal opportunity hater too when McFraud was here.

Meaning...I thought the GM, HC and QB all sucked at their jobs so I hated on all 3.
Right now I'm sitting on hating 2 for 3 still, with fail up Schotty on stand by hate mode based on his yet TBD coaching performance.

But yep,
Cowboys are still my team.
The 3 in charge just suck.

This past year, Hurts post season QBR was the lowest of any SB winning QB since 2015.
