PFF QB Ranking - Dak 17

I log on, in front of the TV, when I'm looking at my cows etc. 5 bad discs in my back, torn rotator cuff and waiting on both knees to be replaced gives me a lot of time to screw with the haters. They're too easily riled up.....better than watching Fluffy on Netflix.
ah.
This is how you get your jollies

OK

Different strokes for different folks

You have to have a quality team to beat quality opponents. QBs don't do that on their own. The win against the Steelers last year gave me a little hope that his choke factor isn't as bad as I thought.
This. Dak has plenty of tools now. Worst case is they bring in another plug and play vet RB after roster cuts.

You can find decent runners that way too. Maybe they just didn't fit a team well. Maybe a team just has too many runners. Guys get traded due to age and competition.

Still not too late to acquire players if you need them. One area of need was always gonna be lower priority. But there was a strategy involved with the RB position. It's just a gamble. But I think it'll work.

In recent years, I think part of Dak's problem has been Zeke not pulling his weight and being sort of a distraction.

Justin Fields was awful for Pittsburgh that night.

But I get what you’re saying. Dak did lead them to victory.

This is about right ........but I think he could finish the season closer to the top 10

17. Dak Prescott, Dallas Cowboys

Prescott remains the epitome of a quarterback who thrives against weaker opponents but falters when the competition stiffens. He earned a 90.0 PFF grade in 2023 — behind only Lamar Jackson, Josh Allen and Patrick Mahomes — before a late-season collapse ended his MVP bid. In 2024, the Cowboys stumbled early, and a season-ending injury sidelined Prescott before he could rebound. To rejoin the top-10 conversation, he must recapture that 2023 form and prove he can deliver against the league’s best.
He did in 2023. I think he rebounds because of new staff. If they really develop a run game then Dak will thrive. It’s hard to beat a defense that’s has no respect for your run game. Clean up the penalties, especially in redzone and run the ball effectively and this offense could be pretty good

A lot of you Dak fans just love to go back two or three, four years ago to try and justify the play of Dak. Life does not go backwards.
These fans don’t care who the quarterback is. He’s the Cowboys quarterback so they think he’s great. And everyone else who doesn’t think the same isn’t a true fan or a hater. It freaking kills me.

I want a Cowboys quarterback who can elevate his team..and put them on his back when needed to win close games against quality opponents. Dak falls woefully short 95% of the time when needed to do just this.

He’s ranked where he should be.

This past year, Hurts post season QBR was the lowest of any SB winning QB since 2015.
I doubt this, but who cares anyway?

Hurts' QBR was 75 in the SB (Mahomes' was 11). His SB passer rating was 120 (Mahomes' was 95)

Hurts' QBR in the NFCC Game was 72 (Daniels was 84). His NFCC Game passer rating was 110 (Daniels 73).

Hurts' QBR in the Divisional round was 49.6 (Stafford's was 48.3). His passer rating was 91 (Stafford's 97)
This game was played in a snowstorm.

Hurts' QBR in the WC round was 62 (Love's was 38). His passer rating was 111 (Love's 41).

He was above 70 QBR and his passer rating was 110+ in the NFCC Games and SB. If that was the lowest since 2015, who the heck cares?

QBR has never impressed me
the old rating system certainly has its faults but QBR is no improvement as far as I am concerned

I reminded of President Lincoln’s adage regarding General Grant. “I can’t spare this man. He fights.”

I left the link in my post so you can check my work.

And I said Super Bowl winning, so I’m not sure why you included the others.
