PFF QB Ranking - Dak 17

If fans can see what kind of roster the Eagles had to put together to win a Super Bowl isn’t that an indictment of Jerry Jones abilities? Jalen Hurts is not an elite talent. It Dak Prescott is a superior NFL quarterback Jerry had a head start on Philly yet cannot figure it out and refuses to change how the team is run. Now the Commanders, of all franchises, has marched right past Dallas.

And if deference to Hurts’ abilities or lack thereof, gifted that tremendous roster of teammates the expectations for the team and his stewardship of its offense is sky high. Hurts shows up when the stakes are high. Significant to mention, he has not turned 27 yet. He’s 15 months older than Milton. Is there time for either of these guys to develop?
In other words, create the team and complete it with a lesser QB like Hurts.

Lol...you continue to do you. I think most others got the point. You appear to be on an island here.

I never even said I don't like QBR. I think you yourself said a few posts back that people need to read better....I just posted numbers and asked "who cares?"
I don’t think you got my point and you never asked…you just assumed. And I’m fine being on an island if that’s the case.

My post was in response to another person questioning Hurts as the #5 QB this year and personally I agree. If you read the article, they are basing the ranking for Hurts on last year and discounted and were critical of his 2023 year.

While he had a great year last year, I personally don’t think he is #5 this year. I also don’t think his Super Bowl run, while very good, was enough to justify the position by itself. And IMO, his QBR might suggest that he doesn’t have to be otherworldly due to the strength of the team around him. They thought so and I disagree but that’s just my opinion and I could be wrong.

not using playoff lack of success you ask the professionals around the league including the players and you ask them where does Prescott rank they don't have to think about it top 10 no need to start putting out names he's top 10...

.
Why would anyone discount playoff lack of success?

The only way Dak is a top 10, is if you allow 17 to 20 QBs to "be in the top 10"

Discount the playoff lack of success LOL. Yeah...that's just a minor detail...no need to factor that in.

How about create a team that can realistically compete for a Super Bowl in the contemporary NFL? If you already have a quarterback you think is worth $60 million per year you have it a lot easier than Roseman does.

Cowboys fans get to watch their favorite team with its great quarterback fail while a team in our division with a “lesser” quarterback that can’t throw excels.

A thread can't be posted without haters turning it into dog crap. They have their Dak hate goggles on.....I wear my positive goggles, but at least I admit it, and those that don't like it, can kiss my behind!!
I don't hate Geno Smith. If I say I think he's a #20 to #25 nfl QB does that mean I'm "hatin'" on Geno?

Someone saying they think this #17 ranking is accurate isn't "hating" IMO...it's just trying to be accurate

Bo Nix is probably too low, as is Drake Maye. Tua too high, geno too high, Trevor L way too high. I'd probably scooch Dak up one....but I'd take Nix or Maye over Dak in a heartbeat...but would rather have Dak than Geno or Tua

That would be “No, I mean you, specifically”.

Resorting to name calling. I “know” why people do that.
Me too, because we get tired of all their bs and can't do anything about it in person. Plus no one likes the grammar police. That's just a lack of self esteem. Now, shoooo, you bore me

In all seriousness taking Daks age and injury history into consideration.
He should be right around 12 .

That said who really cares how Dak is rated at this point.

Used to be don't count it's what he does this season with the tools he's been given.
And he has enough talent around him to be more than successful

I appreciate what your saying, after last year, he's lucky to be as high as 17, it's all the other verbiage that I can do without.

A lot of the 'disrespect' is direct towards those that dont see any weakness and/or deflect onto players making a fraction of a guy who's best card is his leadership.
Not really understanding your post, my bad. By disrespect I, personally, mean the name calling and wishing Dak plays poorly or wishing he gets injured again. I don't see how any of that makes us a better team.

Hurts is durable, and a great tush push weapon but he cannot throw the ball or read plays as well as Dak.
Not even Eagles fans believe that.
Jalen is a solid package as a QB because he has overall tools, but it was only 18 months ago he was bickering with his WR corps and people were questioning if he was the right guy.

Eagles built the best trenches in the sport and amazingly everyone shut up questioning that.
Exactly!
