Im not sure it irritates me that he dont use Pollard well and more and get him in space. His play calling with zeke I dont care for either but im not sure if thats just not zeke choosing wrong holes. Yes the line has certainl;y regressed IMO.

PFF had the o-line ranked high after the season also...

Maybe he did but our offense didn't have talent in the right places to execute it properly.

We don't know.

I don't remember any creative play calling that game (jet sweeps in particular with Pollard or Lamb). Granted some teams match up really well against others based on talent, but play calling was very vanilla.

Some of you guys are way down on Moore. Criticizing him for not using Pollard more?

How do we know that's Moore's fault?

Because he's the one who calls the plays and creates the offensive game plan.

PFF is kind of all over the place.

But I do think people are way too hard on Moore around here.
Top 2 seems a bit nuts, but he is better than many out there.

Cowboy fans can be myopic and tend to only compare us to the very best.
We forget there are 32 franchises.

Moore is much better than average in his play-calling, imo.

He literally might be getting everything he can out of the offense.

The offense, and Dak, never put up the type of numbers they do now before Moore took over.

The only way to properly judge Moore would be to see how he does on another team. Until then I don't see how we can blame the offensive struggles on Moore's play calling alone.

That's fair.

Though I will say that the 49ers OC did a fantastic job in the game against us. They picked our defense apart and ran it right down the field on their first drive. Their offensive success seemed to be more of a result of their scheme rather than talent. Same example with the Cardinals game. Dallas defense didn't know what was coming with all the mis directions and RPO.

I think it's fair to say that both the 49ers and Cardinals stacked up fairly evenly from a talent standpoint. It was the offensive scheme that was the difference maker.

When Dallas offense faced a team with less talent, they always dominated though. Which leads me to believe the offense success has more to do with talent and coaching doesn't take them to another level.

I am disappointed as anyone with the 49er offensive game plan but we all have to admit with Moore and Quinn back we have maybe the best offensive/defensive coordinators in the league. The Cowboys will be good this season.

I like how you think its much better to be optomistic. Even though this franchise can be nervewrecking as a fan

Be pessimistic. Be optimistic. It doesn’t matter. It no way affects the outcome of the season. Neither is better. I choose to lean optimistic, but my fall days aren’t ruined or joyous based on the cowboys winning or losing. Long past that.

I'm no Moore defender but it's tough to evaluate play calling when the QB can, and often does, change the play at the LOS.

We pass too much in general, but when you can gain yardage via pass and are stuffed via run, what are you to do?

Kellen hasn't figured that part out just yet, but he is learning on the job, and he still has Jerry to advise him of what may be going wrong. We are good.

Its hard to get a running game started when 1 and 4 down sets start with a penalty that moves you back. Start by cleaning this up and lets see what they can do.
