What I saw: Cook repeatedly bounced runs to the outside, and no one was there. I don’t know if it’s a schematic issue or a player issue.
Hooker was out. Maybe the team ate the cheese and didn't prep hard enough throughout the week, ironing out assignments. Really hard to say. It was such a bizarre showing after beating up on the Eagles the week prior.

It is hard playing good teams on the road and the Cowboys have a big home field advantage.

Ya, I get that. I'm not surprised they lost. It was predictably a trap game. I just don't get how they could look so bad after looking so good against everyone the two months prior, including Philly and Seattle. Something felt off and it was more than a personnel mismatch.

Yards penalized for 1 thing. The Bills only got called for 1 penalty.

5/48 vs 1/15, and terrible timing on our end did make a difference, but it doesn't excuse the embarrassing performance we saw. They were mugging our guys. I didn't see much of an effort to mug them back. It's ok to get beat. Missed assignments and questionable effort is a problem. It's on the coaches to get it right, now.

Good news on Davis. Higher PFF than both Mazie and Hankins this year. Not good, but not a step down. For a PS player, I'll take it. Especially for his first game on the field.

iDL Carl Davis - 55.4

Carl Davis was called up from the practice squad to relieve Mazi Smith as the secondary nose tackle, but he didn’t fare well. Despite being a large human, listed at 335 pounds, Davis was constantly getting pushed around.
..wow, no wonder he's on PS squad. Your 355 and get pushed around?

How does that even work?

Dlaw at least makes some plays. Show me Mazi making even one big play.
I'm not heaping praise on Mazi. Only pointing out if/when the time comes half the board will overlook him anyway. He'll get the Dlaw treatment.

They didn’t play smart, ya run D was poor but....
D.Law roughing kept a drive alive
Punter roughing keep a drive alive
No challenge on fumble
.....potential 21 points swing
Then if u hit on bomb to Cooks
.....not that far away....but not close if playing dumb
Even with poor run D

Pathetic LB play by Damone Clark and M.Bell. These LB's don't play the run well. Evans was better, we need to replace LVE and Hankins to stop the run.

Hankins will be back in a few weeks, Evans needs more reps.

I am going to give Carl Davis a pass since it his his first game for Dallas. Any expectation that he would be a big help for the defense was foolish anyway.

I am very disappointed in Dorance Armstrong and Donovan Wilson. When the Cowboys run defense is at its best, Wilson is coming up and making plays at the LOS. Armstrong is normally stronger against the run.

Micah's development against the run has been hurt by the fact that they use him as a pass rusher so much. But also, He is not very aggressive against the run either. I'd like to see him play a little harder against the run.

I would also caution that this was one game. The Bills were nearly perfect in their run blocking. They caught Dallas's offense off guard on a number of plays and the Cowboys missed a lot of tackles. When the Cowboys run defense has been bad it is usually because the end tackle gap is lost. This Bills destroyed those gaps all day and the Cowboys never adjusted. Again, I saw slow reaction to running plays and the Bills RBs constantly making one cut behind the line and finding a huge gap to run through.

Zach Martin mugged back and they throw the flag. Lawrence hit the qb and they throw the flag.

Right how can they not claim our team wasn't trying to be physical and fighting we had three roughing calls for the game they were fighting they were being physical they just simply had a coach who was unwilling to get out of diamond nickel unwilling to adjust the game plan I don't get it they just didn't stop the run they got ran over and our offensive line got pushed around by a four man line pretty easy to see we lost the game not because we weren't trying some of it had to do with illnesses missing players due to injury up against a team who was desperate they're a lot of reasons you could lose a game like this and it's just time to put it to bed it wasn't because we weren't fighting hard it wasn't because we didn't show up or weren't ready to play it just snowballed 8 minutes in we couldn't stop the avalanche time to move on to Miami...

Their guards averaged over 330 pounds and they were gunning for the LB's with Cook behind them.

Marquese Bell is 205 pounds. So much for containment.
Did you see the video of the center pulling and flattening Bell like he was a small child?

I'm shocked that Quinn didn't see what was happening. Why should the Bills pass when they can run right down the middle against one LB and a pack of glorified safeties?

Every one of their O-linemen were well over 300 pounds. Their rookie Guard, O'Cyrus Torrence was 347 pounds.
