PFF: Top 10 WR's in the NFL today

Off the top of my head

Tier 1: Best combo of ability and staying power
Chase
Jefferson

Tier 2: Same but a step below the guys above
Puka

Tier 3: Tradeoffs between these guys. First 4 are interchangeable, AJ clearly last.
JSN, St Brown, Lamb, Pickens... AJ

Tier 4: a pretty distinct dropoff before a heap of others, honestly not worth naming all of them

wait, if Dak sucks so much and according to many can't read a defense or throw with anticipation, shouldn't CD and Pickens be rated higher?

I don't know. just asking the DDS Cult a simple question and their opinion
But according to many, Goff, JJ, Burrow and Hurts also suck....as does the guy in Houston. This kind of works both ways in the argument, is it the QB or WR, no? I will add that, according to many, Stafford also wasn't deserving of the MVP award last year, even though he basically led the NFL in every QB stat. But it's the coaching that led him to success.

It is a good point. Yes, their ability to get open & stay open against NFL defenses long enough for Dak to see them & feel comfortable throwing it is a strong argument for their talents. In fairness, up until about mid season Dak was trusting GP to go get some longer balls without being wide open. Plus, they had the quick slant going pretty well for a while. Of course neither of those relies too heavily on the QB attributes you mention so yeah it all tracks.

Pickens was an afterthought in Pittsburgh. One thousand yard season in his first 3 years.

And now after a year in Dallas, he's universally regarded as a top 10 WR in the league.

The Dak Effect.
....you can just feel Pickens will take off, where he left off in 25'.

Assuming Dak is healthy all year long. 26' could be special for us.

Seems to me that AJ Brown has slipped, but I'm sure they are blaming it on the QB play.
I know AJ is a competitor but I don't always like his attitude. I guess if you are a top player in the NFL, you want the ball all the time.

I don't think he is above cd but I am a little bias.

I was being sarcastic btw, but man you went full DDS in the response. lots of pent up stuff I guess.

A defense ranked int the teens would make my day, I'm tired of it taking 2nd fiddle all the time, but in small doses.

Said it before and I’ll say it again: Jaxson One-Season-Njigba is not a Top 3 WR - at least not yet. No way is he better than CeeDee, Amon-Ra, JJ, AJ, etc.

I hear ya. The thing that makes me give him a little more respect was the way he was cooking even the top defenses though. If he does it again, then we've got to figure out where he slots in.

Has nothing to do with Dak. If you saw him play in Pittsburgh the talent has always been on display.

are you saying there isn't a decade of people (not just me, not just fans) saying that Dak doesn't anticipate as well as many other NFL QB's & isn't as willing to throw until he's sure the receiver is open?
A decade of people...hmmm did t those people (not just you, not just fans) just rated him.6th best QB in the league?

So does it mean. All the other QBs below him throw with less anticipation?

And i remember the DDS cult claiming he wasn't accurate, now its anticipation. Yet some how, some how his completion perce Tage, his QBR, etc is among top 10 QBs in the league almost every year.

Either you and the other fans need to check your eyes and fix your perception. Because outside of your eye test there is zero data and facts you have ever produced to back up your assertion.

Pickens was a 2+ yard per route player in Pittsburgh his last two seasons, that’s legit #1 WR territory.

He benefited from the cowboys offense for sure but not nearly as much as it’s made out to be. His counting stats were down mostly due to a lower number of snaps, not quality of play. I’m not sure the talent has ever been in question for Pickens.

You didn't really address the question though. Has that not been widely stated as a weakness of Dak's for his entire career?

Those same ratings had Goff at something like 13. Goff has some of the best numbers & results since like 2021 of any QB in the NFL. Why wasn't he up there with the elites or first in the group behind them? Why those discrepancies? Because this is a list that I'm guessing is more about summer time content & generating clicks.
