My thoughts are he will continue to be injured. I can get the same or slightly worse production out of clowney. Too many holes this year

Same production? Hendrickson has 40 sacks over the last 3 years and only played 7 games last year, which was the first time in 6 years he has played less then 15 games a year.

Clowney is a nice rotational piece at 33 years old entering the season. Hendrickson is a stud. Not the same at all.

I would rather go out and have a directed focus on certain FA’s plus some of our own then blow the budget on one very expensive defensive piece . Dallas has more than one hole to fill . Let’s get multiple new starters in here .

With all the restructuring you have about 50-60 mil in space. Pickens alone will eat up 25-30m of that cap immediately.

I think our must-sign positions are LB and CB. A safety would be nice, but we have 0 NFL-caliber starters at LB and 1 maybe at CB.

And at only 25 years old, still on (hopefully) has some years left in before any decline.

Seems like he is always making plays when I watch Chiefs games. Would be surprised if they let him go. Remember a lot of these guys will end up going back to their current teams with new deals.

Yeah, he is starting to rack up injuries. Maybe buyer beware. Kind of the same for Jaelen Phillips, he is an injury risk as well.

True Pickens will cost that’s why I'm not in favor of an expensive defensive edge from either Vegas or Cincy then limiting Dallas to get other pieces .

Sign Pickens to a long term deal similar to CeeDee's and he only eats up $9M next season. There's plenty of cap room for them to do anything they want.

Yea, still got over a month for the Chiefs to figure out terms to keep their UFA.

Figure pair him with Overshown and you got two LBs that can blitz and IIRC he can stop the run.

Chiefs did re-sign Bolton last year, so curious if they want to have two LBs on market level deals.
