17. Jake Ferguson, Dallas Cowboys​

Ferguson looked like a tight end on the cusp of cracking the top 10 a year ago before the Cowboys' struggles and injuries caused the decline in production and grading for the third-year Wisconsin Badger. While Ferguson should enjoy a bounce-back 2025 campaign, his 56.6 PFF receiving grade and four fumbles in 2024 are worrisome for his outlook.

That’s a better ranking than I expected after last season. Not a bad player and does show some toughness but not the longterm answer. I expect TE to be high on our list entering the 2026 draft.

Hard to explain what’s happened with Pitts. They had him ranked as the best TE prospect in a decade the year he came out. I think injuries, changes in scheme and coaching along with his struggles with route running has caused problems. He’s had issues separating which is strange with his speed.

Its why I never believe any of that crap. They talk about generational this....and that...you don't see generational coming so when people try and anoint that before a guy steps on the field? I'm always cautious.

That being said....i'd trade him for Ferg ASAP.

If we are going to run a lot of 2 TE sets both need ti be involved in the passing game.

I would love to find a guy like Taysom Hill who can be a gadget guy at many spots. I thought Luepke had the skillset but haven't seen it on display yet.

Every team that’s drafted a TE top 20 has regretted it. Bowers is putting up some sensational stats, but does that change your perception of the Raiders one iota? No surprise it’s the same team that just went RB 6th overall

2023 Jake Ferguson was better than what we had with Schultz imo. With a healthy Dak and two wr threats on the outside I think he has a career year down the seams.
