Is this best secondaries or best corners? Eagles do not have a better secondary then us but I get they still overrate Slay.

Our defense would never give up 3rd and 30….just saying lol.
I have always believed PFF kind of had an Eagles bias. Even when they were mediocre, their guys would get bizarrely high ratings. For example, they have Blankenship with a higher rating in 2022 than Wilson or Hooker. Huh?

Oh wow so that explains why they have them ranked so high….they lose CGJ and somehow still have the best secondary….

How? Philly lost their best Safety while Dallas added a top 15 corner who is the same age as Phillys best corner.
Slay must grade out well because he sucked down the stretch but maybe he played well enough at the beginning for it not to effect his score.

Slay, Bradberry and Maddox over Diggs, Gilmore and Lewis/Bland? MAYBE. Slay has been elite but is slowly declining.

There isnt a single person outside of this guy in the world that would take Terrell Edmunds, Reed Blankenship, Sydney Brown and K’Von Wallace over Kearse, Wilson and Hooker when added to the equation.

Eagles front 4 > Dallas
Dallas linebackers > Eagles
Eagles corners = Dallas corners
Dallas safeties > Eagles safeties

PFF has the Eagles LBers at like 30. They have NOTHING at that position. The also haven't drafted a pure LBer in the first round since the 70's.

I don’t think they lack talent at LB. I think they just lack proven talent. Nakobe Dean and Nolan Smith could either be some dogs or some bust.

It’s rare a top 15 player at any position plays for four different teams in four years.

Just a suggestion.

Shouldn't a game or two be played in regular season before any of these lists have meaning?

This is the deadest time of the year for pro football except for perhaps the month after the Super Bowl.

They have

Best in AFC: Jets
Best in NFC: Eagles

We made #6!!!!!!

Pretty good!
I honestly think Dallas has a better secondary than Philly.

That being said, these lists are all mostly complete nonsense put out by the NFL media machine in an attempt to stay relevant during the offseason.

I think at the least that getting Gilmore makes us equal with Philly in the secondary.

Look. Texas is no fav for much of the rest of the nation. We have a rep for moving to the beat of our own drums. This is surely true of the Dallas Cowboys and the national sports media. Many were inundated by the early 90's Cowboys and resented it and it has spilled over into their sports fandom, or in the case of the Cowboys non-fandom. Add to that the epicenter of the national sports media has traditionally been in the northeast spilling over into the upper midwest. Although our Cowboys have lots of fans everywhere (thus America's Team moniker which also causes resentment) there are many, many more true haters in these places.

Chris Collinsworth's son, Austin, is the COO. Grew up in Ohio. ND product. None of these folks will see Dallas in a positive light. But I don't care. Far as I'm concerned they hate us cause they ain't us.

And . . .

. . . I like our guys !
