All Washington had to do was get rid of their own version of Jerry Jones. They have turned from perennial losers, and a 4-13 record to a playoff team that has won a playoff game in one season.

If we had that same option the Cowboys would return to glory in short order because many of the best in the business would take the job and run with it if Jones was no longer in the picture.

This why even the Cleveland Browns have more hope than the Cowboys. Anything can happen for them, and it eventually will. But that won't happen for Dallas as long as the Jerry way is the standard operating procedure.

And once again this proves that the single biggest advantage any NFL team has is NOT having Jerry Jones call the shots.

GET OUT OF THE WAY, if only Jerry could Moon-walk himself out of the way and let the coaches/etc do their own thing!!! Until then,it is what it is, oh and magic said LET'S put the focus on the players and their win, not about what the GM is rambling on about after a game!!

The culture between the two is day and night. Jerry is the dark cloud that will always ruin this franchise until his death. He would probably open living assistance at the office just to keep us suffering longer.

Washington (ironically with the help of bright basketball minds) hired good football people and stepped out of the way. Jones, on the other hand, is the only owner in the NFL who also serves as the team’s general manager.
I think we all understand where the biggest problem is in Dallas. As the old saying goes, it starts at the top.

Synder and his culture was the biggest issue and it trickled down to football operations and this is exactly what the issue is in Dallas. Jerry and Stephen are the issue. Stephen is just as bad as Jerry. McClay has been very solid over the years overall drafting which has been a safety net for how they approach spending and FA. I have seen people coming for McClay but let McClay leave lol and lets go back to the days where they debating drafting Floyd bc of the unorganized draft board. Stop.... McClay is humble enough to understand he doesnt need to be in front the camera and he seems to navigate Jerry and Stephen well esp with how they make moves. 31 other teams would love to have him.

Sixers fans really dislike Harris. Commanders fans, because of this year, love him.

We’ll have to wait and see what he does after the honeymoon.

Was he involved in letting Jimmy walk over re-signing Harris, Simmons and then Al after the trade?

What could of been for the 76ers if they made Jimmy part of the core and not Harris and Simmons.

The difference is something commonly referred to as "credentials". These are the prior achievements of an individual that was responsible for his selection as GM:

Washington Commander GM Adam Peters

Peters joins the Commanders after serving a variety of senior leadership roles with the San Francisco 49ers, most recently as the team's assistant general manager from 2021-23. Prior to being named assistant general manager, Peters spent four seasons with the 49ers as the vice president of player personnel.

During his time with San Francisco, Peters helped the 49ers construct a top roster in the NFL through the draft, free agency and via trades. Through the NFL Draft, Peters was part of a 49ers leadership team that selected the likes of TE George Kittle, LB Fred Warner, WR Deebo Samuel, T Mike McGlinchey, DT Javon Kinlaw, WR Brandon Aiyuk, and 2019 Associated Press Defensive Rookie of the Year DL Nick Bosa, among others. Through free agency, the team was equally effective, adding key contributors such as CB Richard Sherman, FB Kyle Juszczyk and K Robbie Gould. They also acquired All-Pro RB Christian McCaffrey and T Trent Williams via trade.

In 2023, the 49ers placed a league-high nine total players in the Pro Bowl. Following the conclusion of the 2023 regular season, San Francisco had five players named First Team All Pro by the Associated Press, which was the most by a single team in the NFL.

Peters joined the 49ers after spending eight seasons (2009-16) with the Denver Broncos. In 2016, Peters was named the Broncos director of college scouting after spending two seasons as the team's assistant director of college scouting from 2014-15. Peters spent three years as a national scout (2011-13) after originally joining the Broncos as a regional scout in 2009.

In Denver, Peters helped the team acquire 27 players through the draft and college free agency that were vital members of the Super Bowl 50 roster.

Prior to his time in Denver, Peters spent six seasons (2003-08) with the New England Patriots. In his first two seasons as a scouting assistant in New England, Peters was a part of two Super Bowl championship teams in 2003 and 2004. In 2005, Peters handled pro scouting responsibilities for the team before serving as an area scout in his final three seasons with New England.

Prior to his career in the NFL, Peters spent the 2002 season with UCLA where he served as a football operations graduate assistant after playing defensive end for the Bruins from 1999-2001.

Dallas Cowboys GM Jerry Jones

As a co-captain of the 1964 National Championship Arkansas Razorbacks, Jones is one of a small number of NFL owners who actually earned a significant level of success as a football player.

Harris let Presti and everyone since run the club. Whether they hate Harris or not it was Presti that came up with 'The Process.'

This reminds me of the honeymoon that NYG fans experienced with Daboll and Schoen when they made the playoffs and won a game in year one.

Two years later they are calling for their heads and are outraged that no changes are being made by ownership after another disastrous season.

Opinions can change rather quickly.
