Colon’s agent told Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that there is “little chance” Colon will be back in Pittsburgh.

Presumably, Colon’s agent only said that because the Steelers have made it clear they won’t pay his client what he thinks he’s worth. Colon is coming off a torn Achilles tendon, but he will only be 28 years old entering next season. He has a lot of experience at tackle and could conceivably kick inside to guard.

I'd be interested. I know Jerry doesn't like drafting OL early. I'm sure he wouldn't be cheap, though.

Could be an option for an above-average lineman at a not so premium price.

If that injury isn't well healed that will make him half the Olineman he used to be thus shouldn't Willie's last name then be Semicolon.

I think it would technically make him a Perforated Colon.

I like where you guys are going with this, but feel you're way off base. Period. ;)

I dont see how we can resign Free and sign another OT with still needing a OG. THats before even thinking about cutting Davis. GOing to have to get one OT and one OG in the draft.

If the Steelers, who are more familiar with him and his injury than we are, and who have their own O-line issues, aren't willing to pay him what he thinks he is worth, I can't believe it would be a good idea for us to do it.
