Its been this way across the league. I wonder if they changed their pain management protocols? I dont remember so many guys missing games for contusions. Im sure its painful, but its typically the kind of thing you mask and play through. At least thats what I thought

They used to play through those because they didn't want that interfering with their summer jobs but now they'd rather sit and be healthy for vacation.

I imagine some of the old guard watching these players today and just shaking their heads. We're not that far away from Hurt Feelings being on the Questionable list. And that's not all of these guys, there are some that could have played back then but it seems fewer every year.
