PFT ( Andrew Berry): Jalen Milroe may be only QB faster than Lamar Jackson

Lazy comps based on color never end apparently. He can't pass the ball like Lamar did in college. Not talking about stats either.

Milroe needs to land with the right HC. A coach who knows to develop a QB. Someone like Reid or McVay. If he goes to a team desperate for a QB with a coach who rolls out the football and says "go make plays", he will be in the UFL in 5 years.

That is his only hope.
I frankly do not think he ever will be anything having watched a number of his games.
But you never know. The problem with many first rd picks is that they go to very bad organizations.

I used to think you are either accurate or you aren't. Josh Allen changed that. I see him as a early second round pick based on potential only. Based on pure demonstrated talent in college he should be a 3rd or 4th rounder.

He's not Mike Vick fast. Vick was a low 4.2 plus his COD was almost as good as Barry Sander's.

you will find that Allen was a true outlier. I know of no other college QB that significantly improved his completion percentage and accuracy in the NFL.

Milroe is fast, but he's not the same runner as LJ.

Jackson is just different.

Jackson usually runs at like 80% of his max to let blocks open up and avoid contact. And he's still faster than the pursuit.
I've noticed that, too. He's patient.

For someone with such long strides, he gets up to top speed so quickly.

Effortless speed that I've not quite seen before, tbh.

I have to disagree. Lamar wasn't that great a passer in college & played against lesser competition.

Milroe is either very on or very off. I would say that was a fair description of Lamar as well early in his career.

I wouldn't think he's as fast as LJ either ... but I have seen him blow by guys who had the angle on him.

His running style reminds me of a slightly slower Adrian Peterson for some reason
