Cowboys starting middle linebacker Anthony Hitchens does not have a torn anterior crucicate ligament in his right knee, according to Todd Archer of ESPN. That’s the good news.

The bad news is Hitchens has a tibial plateau fracture and will need eight weeks to recover.

Ouch...I'm guessing,he'll be back in playing shape around week 10!
With the Wilson ( possible suspension ) and hitchens injury, we probably need to pick up an extra linebacker for insurance.

Short-term IR in his future.

Just really glad it's not a season-ender for Hitchens, and he'll be back to help us for the stretch run for the playoffs. In the meantime, man up Justin Durant, and, of course, Jaylon Smith!

Good news. At this rate, given suspensions and injuries, the team should be running at full throttle in the final third of the season. Hopefully we manage not to blow any winnable games early in the season because we'll need all the wins we can get. Step 1: Make the playoffs. Step 2: Win the Super Bowl.
