Our defense is taking a hit. We lost Sam Williams and Bland is out for possibly two months. Mazi has a hamstring. Carson was going to have his work cut out for him even healthy.

What did I miss? When did Mazi gave a hamstring injury

You're right brother. I'm simply trying to get a glimpse of hope for our backups. Mukuamu has played a little and actually looked decent during training camp. I like him better than Booth.

I guess they didn’t even read the injury report which stated he was a full participant in practice. Instead, we get all the nervous Nancy’s freaking out over nothing. Par for the course.

I have really high hopes for Carson to be a good player for us, but week 1 of his rookie year, I suspect he won't be all that much better than Booth or Mukuamu would be.
I get the feeling he is ok from what I read, but I'm not going to sweat it if we start one of the other two and get him healthy for week 2if he can't go this weekend.

Doesn't seem to be too serious if he completed practice and didn't have a limp. Hopefully just a minor tweak

Isn't Andrew booth listed as the backup 3rd outside CB ..

...if Carson goes down..in comes da Booth (along with deep downfield plays for the opposing team...sigh! )

I think we'd switch Lewis to the outside and play Mukuamu in the slot before we'd do that. But I've been wrong before.
