I'm sure we all know what's going to happen. In 3-4 weeks it'll be here.

Good for him. I always liked him. Even when many around here would throw him under the Bus Driver's Bus. He is a great kid.

I don’t know why CeeDee is getting flack. The dude has done everything this franchise has asked of him. He has produced massive numbers and been a good soldier off the field.

If he doesn’t deserve a bag, then neither do any of the other WRs that signed deals this offseason.

This is 100% the fault of the FO for dragging their feet on every contract decision, and communicating their indifference through their passivity.

If they aren’t committed to signing a player like Lamb to a long term deal, it begs the question— who do they think is worthy of a deal?

They got burned in FA on the Carr deal, and then they have paid out Zeke, D Law, Dak, Zack, Steele, Gallup etc… and have nothing to show for it.

They are gun shy now and are hesitant to sign big deals— but treading water and refusing to trade or move on from players is not the right message either.

They preserve the status quo at all costs and cross their fingers and hope their plan will work this time.

In short— this FO sucks. And there doesn’t seem to be any light at the end of the tunnel.

Unfortunately it is the MO for many on this forum. They love the player coming up but they change their opinion once it comes to the new contract.

good for him what? I just wish the teams woud show them how the CBA works. You are under contract for this year. Then next year, I will tag you. And if works good for the team, Ill tag you again. Then hold out and watch your bank account empty.

it is not anyone's fault. The Cowboys werent going to offer him 34 million per back in March. Cee Dee wasnt signing for 29 million back in march. Why is it that when a player holds out you want to blame the team?

Is Ayuik the Niners front office poor job?

Market value is what it is. Lamb is in line for a big contract. They could have signed him earlier, but they didn’t— and he exploded last season and set all time franchise marks in 2023

If they don’t want to sign him, fine. Trade him. Get something for him. But to continually delay ever single contract decision only creates a scenario where you are overpaying every time you do sign a player.

Yes. I blame the FO for this mess. 100%.

They can’t refuse to sign free agents because they want to sign their own players, and then turn around refuse to sign their best guys

You can’t keep every player you’d like. Ayuik is looking for a significant contract from a team that he’s not the top weapon on offense. And that team, anticipating this, used a first round draft choice on his possible replacement. The Niners FO has done a great job. Lamb is the Cowboys’ best offensive weapon. If the team doesn’t care about how he feels about playing for the Cowboys, by all means, don’t extend him.

do you know how this has gone? CeeDee has the same agent as Jefferson. CeeDee was NOT signing before Jefferson unless the Cowboys gave him 32 million per season... prior to Jefferson signing. And if they did, you all would be slamming the Cowboys for giving him tat outrageous contract.
Who said they are refusing to sign him? But are they supposed to just bend over and give him exactly what he asks for? Thats not how contract negotiations work.

I have a feeling its more than that.

You could see this off-season was going to go bad when Jerry refused to bring in ANY free agents.

It sends a message to a team that they dont believe in you.
